This Sunday is Father’s Day….and we all remember dad for the things he’s do for us and the sage wisdom he would pass on from time to time. Chris Evans tells Variety magazine that replacing Tim Allen as the voice of Buzz Lightyear was intimidating. Saying "The first time you have to do that iconic line, 'To Infinity and Beyond...,' you kind of just do a shameless Tim Allen impression.  Eventually you feel comfortable and find your own interpretation, while still using Tim Allen as the blueprint." “Lightyear” staring Chris Evans, Taika Waititi and James Brolin is in theaters Thursday night

Walker Hayes Says Fatherhood Has Helped Him Better Understand His Father ... “It definitely helps me forgive my dad for a lot things.  now, I’m that guy who’s too full to throw the football at night, which I never understood growing up. I was like ‘How are you too full and tired to throw a football?’ And now, that’s me, on the couch."

You may have already heard; Toby Keith broke the news yesterday that he's been battling stomach cancer since last fall.  Country music has come out to support Toby, I saw a video from Chris Cagle posting on Facebook an emotional message of support, John Rich of Big & Rich tweeted “Hang in there” with a thumb’s up emoji.  His tour will be postponed as he needs, quote, "time to breathe, recover, and relax."

Even though she wasn't invited to the wedding, Lynne Spears congratulated her daughter Britney.  And Britney posted video of herself at the reception dancing to "Like a Virgin" . . . with Madonna. And in case you’re wondering,  no they didn’t….kiss… Jurassic World Dominion" knocked "Top Gun: Maverick" off the top of the box office heap with a $143.4 million opening.

Garth Brooks tells Everything Nash that a fan inspired him to open his new Nashville bar and so now here it comes. ‘Friends In Low Places’ will be the Chick-Fil-A of honky-tonks. I want a thumping, crazy place where people feel good — but they’re also safe, loved, comfortable, and are treated well with good manners.” No opening date has been announced yet…it sounds like it’s going to be a great time!

In case you missed it, Miranda Lambert performed her new single “Actin' Up" last night on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.  It’s from her 9^th and latest album ‘Palomino’ Later this summer, Miranda will receive the Triple Crown Award at the Academy of Country Music Award’s ACM Honors, making her one of seven to receive the award. Thomas Rhett admittedly isn’t the BEST fisherman out there, in fact he had a pretty bad fly fishing mishap earlier this year ... "Well, I’d had three or four Miller Lights, let’s just preface it with that. And I was trying to cast into the wind, and I’m not a super-experienced fly fisherman, and so, when I casted back and went forward, the wind took it and just whipped it right into the back of my leg.” He DID however thank Miller Lite for not making it as painful as it could have been.

You probably wouldn’t believe it to HEAR it but Walker Hayes says he was inspired by a very special person the gospel side of Randy Travis. “I notice that set him apart for me. But really just that identifiable voice. Yeah, I just love the guys voice and his demeanor was very calm to me and his music was. So, yeah love the guy.”

Entertainment Tonight says Sam Hunt and Hannah Lee Fowler are the proud parents of a new baby girl named Lucy Lu. Sam was performing at the Ryman when he said, “I recently had a baby girl named Lucy Lu. I think being out here, and in the music business and being out on the road, has sort of hardened my heart. My heart’s definitely a lot harder in a lot of ways since I left that small town. It’s amazing how that little girl melted that all away overnight a couple of weeks ago.”

Paramount Pictures CEO Brian Robbins was recently doing an interview with Variety magazine when he joked about making a third Top Gun movie. ''Let’s see where we are 35 years from now. I don’t want to speculate. This is an incredible run. The sky is the limit for this movie.''

Kid Rock tells Fox News that he is open to running for a political office. "One day, if I ever thought – if I was bored, sitting around – really thought I could serve my county and help them out, stir things up a little bit and do what’s right, I’d have to take a hard look at it"

Aaron Rodgers says he "definitely" plans to retire as a Green Bay Packer.  He also recently said the end could be near.  Quote, "The older you get, the interests change, and the grind, I think, wears on you a little more."

If you were a fan of the ‘Joker” movie…you’ll be happy to hear The team behind it is ready to laugh it up once again, with filmmaker Todd Phillips officially confirming he has completed a script for a sequel to his Oscar-winning 2019 film. Phillips shared a picture of Joaquin Phoenix reading a copy of the new script.

Parmalee Star Matt Thomas says they weren’t always called Parmalee “About the time we turned twelve, we wanted some guitars to start playing music. Next thing I know our little cousin Barry I see him playing drums. So, we started this band called Jerry Thomas and the Thomas Brothers Band.” Matt and the boys will be at Arnold Park Iowa at the Roof Garden Ballroom June 23rd.

The Predator will not just go away….The trailer for the new Predator movie, "Prey". has been released. It's a prequel set 300 years ago, with Native Americans fighting a Predator. The two-minute preview for the film, which will premiere on Hulu on Aug. 5, teases the Comanche Nation 300 years in the past fighting against a Predator.

LANCO has revealed the dates of their Low Class Lovers Tour.  It launches June 16th in North Lawrence, Ohio and wraps October 22tn in Colorado Springs.  Hit up the Lanco Facebook page for details. Do country artists space-out while they're performing?  Of course.  Somebody asked Lady A's Dave Haywood about it and he said most of the time he's focused on the task at hand, but every once in a while . . .it’s all about the Chick-Fil-A backstage…then he snaps back. You kinda drift in and out.  So maybe next time you see them…take a Chick-Fil-A bag…Dave may just say HOWDY!
