Ready for a road trip??  CMA Fest is back after two long, Covid-canceled years.  It's going down June 9th through June 12th in downtown Nashville, with over 150 performers.  The big names on the Nissan stage include Luke Combs, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett, Darius Rucker, Keith Urban, and Lainey Wilson. June 9 – 12^th in Nashville.

Yesterday we lost another comedian…Gilbert Gottfried passed after a long battle with recurrent ventricular tachycardia Myotonic Dystropia type II which a way of saying his heart rate was to fast.  His quick wit and strange unique voice made him a favorite to many and not such a favorite to some.  Best known for voicing Lago from the original ‘Aladdin’ and the Aflac duck, Gilbert Gottfried was 67.

Elle King  has her first number one song on Country radio With  ''Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)''  and she has a message for YOU in Kix Country. “This is Elle King. I just want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for giving me a shot and for helping me get to number one with my girl, Miranda Lambert.  And I owe so much of that to you guys. Thank you for believing me. I hope you know I’m sticking around. So thank you.“ Drunk and I don’t want to go home has been a number one song on the Top Kix at Six as well!!

Mark Wahlberg has a new movie in theaters “Father Stu”. . He tells Ellen on her show that even though his children are ‘mortified’ by Marky Mark….he would bring them BACK under the right circumstances  “Yes, for the right circumstances, for a charity event…but would I remember all the words? Luke Combs' wife Nicole will be having their baby boy sometime this spring.  Luke was recently asked for his thoughts about it, and he said, quote, "If a damn alligator can come out, it wouldn't matter to me as long as it's healthy.  I would teach him to sing, teach him how to eat a cheeseburger."

The couple has not lived together for two years. Britney Spears might be pregnant.  She said on Instagram that she took a pregnancy test and she's, quote, "having a baby".  At first she thought she just ate to much…but then…no… her boyfriend posted about fatherhood being, quote, "the most important job I will ever do." Makes me wonder if he realizes it’s Britney Spears…

Congratulations Cody Johnson broke out big, winning his first two trophies at last night's "CMT Music Awards".  "Dear Rodeo" won the Digital-First Performance of the Year, and "Til You Can't" took home Male Video of the Year. The awards show was ok, first time I’ve ever seen ‘Rope Acrobatics’ associated with country music…but, you go Carrie!!

You Gov America website is reporting when it comes to the ‘Slap heard round the world’  and Will Smith’s punishment they found many approve like 48% of Americans approve of the ban from the Oscars for 10 years, but 26% don't.  The remaining 26% are "not interested at all”

Kelsea Ballerini is co-hosting the CMT Awards tonight…she says she isn’t to worried about messing up the hosting…but there IS one things she worries about…“If I mess up reading a prompter, that’s not what I’m great at so that’s ok.  So, I feel less pressure with the talking part, it’s the singing part I’m like if I mess THAT up I’m firing myself!” That could be a little upsetting…The 2022 CMT Awards air tonight on CBS.

The Will Smith Jada Pinkett Smith drama continues as a clip from a past episode of Jada’s ‘Red Table Talk’ internet show has surfaces were Jada confesses she really didn’t want to get married. “When really I just wanted it to be the two of us on a mountain, cause this is serious business.  The wedding was horrible. ”That may answer a lot of questions…like Will being stressed, Jada’s boyfriend etc…

Speaking of the CMT Awards…Kane Brown has four nominations and is the most nominated artist this year. “Feels awesome to be nominated the most nominated artist at CMT’s. I love it for my fans as well because they always have my back and just feels good you know especially to share it with all those artists that we’re going up against so thank you guys.” The CMT Awards are entirely fan-voted.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged again, and this time I just KNOW they're gonna make it.  Jennifer teased a "major announcement" Saturday on Instagram, pointing fans to her online newsletter, OnTheJLo.com . . . where she posted a video of herself wearing her new engagement ring. It has a green stone with a silver band worth $10 MILLION.  Flowers are so overrated,  They have yet to set a date, but are considering March of 2024 for the divorce.

Congratulations Miranda Lambert and Elle King's their song "Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)" has reached Number One on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.  That's the first solo female duet to top that chart since Reba McEntire and Linda Davis did it in 1993 with "Does He Love You".

He says they changed a lot of things in this album“Took longer than any other album I’ve ever made but I honestly think it was worth the wait. 'Stereotype'  is Coles 4^th studio album and is out today.

Tiger Woods is indeed playing the Masters . . ..We wondered if Tiger Woods would ever WALK again, let alone play golf professionally.  Well yesterday, he was 1 under par in the opening round of The Masters, finishing in the top 10, and his tee shot on 6 was close to a hole in one.  We think there's a new TV reboot in the works.  "The Six Hundred Million Dollar Man".

The US Post Office is raising the price of stamps from 58 cents to 60 cents. The price hike will go into effect after July 10th ..People still send letters?

Eric Church tells Rolling Stone magazine that his dream is to be able to fish from his living room. “I want to build a lake in my backyard and fill it with fish. My dream is to sit on the couch and bounce a lure off the patio right into the water.”..Livin the dream, that’s what we call it.

Will Smith is allegedly headed to a celebrity retreat for help. A source tells the news outlets, "The impact of the backlash has hit Will hard, so he will be getting help on dealing with stress. he will be doing a lot of soul searching and working out how he can move forward". Meanwhile a 2019 video has gone viral in it Will asks Jada to not use him to boost her social media presence. Someone posted the video yesterday.

Carrie Underwood's new album ''Denim and Rhinestones'' will be released on June 10th. Music Row magazine says Jason Aldean, Bryan Adams, Thomas Rhett and Little Big Town have been added to the list of performers for the CMT Awards on Monday, April 11th on CBS.
