Elle King topped the country music airplay chart with Miranda Lambert and their smash hit “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” Now Elle is following that up with a song with Dierks Bentley called “Worth A Shot.” Elle and Dierks debuted the track several weeks ago in front of a live audience at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. This is not the first time Elle and Dierks have joined forces musically…Elle was a part of Dierks’ 2016 number-one hit “Different For Girls.” Now in 2022, Elle King and Dierks Bentley are back singing together on “Worth A Shot.”

The Johnny Depp/Amber Heard Defamation trial is on break but it’s not stopping fans from hangin out!!  Some have spent $30,000 on attending this trial, camping out in their cars for a front-row seat in the courtroom. ONE fan named Sharon Smith from the UK put all of her belongings in storage and flew to Virginia to support Johnny. Her trip has cost her over $10,000.

The clock seems to be ticking for Florida Georgia Line…Brian Kelley says he doesn't know what will become of FGL.  At this point he says they’ve got ten or eleven more shows this year, and they’re taking a break after that so if you want to see them…this is the year to do it. Plans after that are unknown for now, but they will always be there for each other.

Starting to feel a little more summertime and a lot less springtime…before you know it we’ll be singing along with Thomas Rhett’s hit song “Slow Down Summer”. Not trying to rush anything but how did that song come about?  “We were on a trip to Montana, and we were sitting in this house just staring out into this field and we noticed that the leaves were changing, and it was getting cooler outside. I was like, man I wish summer would just slow down.” Thomas’s ‘Bring the Bar To You Tour’ with opening acts Parker Mccollum and Conner Smith is on the road and will be in Moline. IL October 13^th. But if you can’t wait that long you can ALWAYS head to Nashville and the CMA Music Festival this summer.

Hockey fan Dierks Bentley had an amazing moment this week when the NHL’s Stanley Cup happened to drop by for a visit to his house. Dierks not only got to experience this – but he got to introduce the cup to his daughters Evie, and Jordan…and his very surprised son, Knox. The beers might be on Dierks Bentley, Breland and Hardy – but we don’t think they’ll be drinking them out of the Stanley Cup.

A number of the stars from Scream (2021) are officially returning for a new sequel. Deadline reports that Melissa Barrera (Sam), Jenna Ortega (Tara), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy), and Mason Gooding (Chad) will all return for Scream 6. The film is set to begin filming this summer and is currently scheduled to debut in theatres on March 31, 2023.

Kix Country loves their trivia games…so you MAY have been following Jeopardy and the drama between Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik.  Well, Ken shared some news about the remainder of the season. On Twitter, he announced that he'll be taking a step back from hosting again in order to make way for Mayim Bialik. But rest assured, he'll return later in the season.  As of right now, it's unclear how long Bialik will be hosting Jeopardy! and when Jennings will return.

What does Dolly Parton and Taco Bell have in common? Mexican pizza!! Not only is Taco Bell officially bringing the long-lost item back to its menu, the fast food chain is writing an entire musical about it with none other than Dolly Parton!  Taco Bell shared the news on its official Instagram feed posting a photo of the mock playbill with the caption, “The ultimate encore. The Musical premiering live on TikTok 5/26.” At the very same time, the country legend confirmed her involvement by showing off the top-secret script for the TikTok musical in her own post.

Carly Pearce says that she had an idea to have Ashley McBride on a song and is happy to have it do as well as it has…'Never Wanted To Be That Girl'  being a number one song for the both of them.   “Just to see what it’s done and the stories that we’ve heard, This is the kind of music that I want to write and I want to sing, and to see it do what it’s done at radio makes me really proud.”
