The List for Monday, May 8th 2023

Welcome to The List,

The latest news coming from the House of Mouse…Disney is cutting ties with Dwayne Johnson Amidst a $3 Billion Lawsuit alleging kidnapping that just moved forward in the judicial system. The Rock, alongside many other defendants, is being sued by Trenesha Biggers, also known as Rhaka Khan, during her former TNA and WWE days, alleging that she and her kids were kidnapped. Though this has yet to be confirmed by Disney or Dwayne Johnson, it would make sense, and neither party has indicated if this is a result of the lawsuit.

The List for Friday, May 5th 2023

Welcome to The List,

King Charles’ coronation is Saturday…and it seams like the ONLY person that won’t BE there is Russell Crowe!!  Apparently, he wasn’t invited because he thinks in a former encounter, When he met Charles he did not call him "your highness".  He said it's quote, "not in my DNA . . .That doesn't mean however that I meant any disrespect or discourtesy.".. It may not be ‘In his DNA’ but you really don’t want to refer to Charles as ‘Mate’, which is why Russell thinks this happened. He does however think Charles was a “good bloke’.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is in theaters this weekend.  Here Chris Pratt answers the question…”did you take anything from the set?”  “Oh Man! This is it!  I backed up the U-haul truck, I took it all.  I was past the point were it would be more expensive for them to fire me instead of just letting me take stuff.  That’s a dangerous position to put a man in”  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is in theaters this weekend.

-----

Dolly Parton's Dollywood is launching its longest roller coaster EVER next week on the 12th.  It's called Big Bear Mountain and has 3,990 feet of track.  The ride lasts for almost two minutes at a maximum speed of 48 miles per hour.  I want to know if Dolly has had a ride on it yet.

-----

Talent riders can be a monster list of all kinds of goodies for the backstage…Meghan Moroney tells Billboard magazine that she has a small list of things she needs when she's on the road. "Advil and Red Bull . Saying she probably drinks two Red Bulls a day when she’s on the road. She really needs to have her Airpods for sure, and don’t forget her flashy boots."

-----

Anti-Music says Miranda Lambert's new cookbook ‘’Y'ALL EAT YET?” is No. 3 on the New York Times Best Selling List."  She says, "I can't actually believe that. I'm so grateful and just - I can't believe it. It's for my Nonny in Heaven. This is crazy. So, thanks to everybody who bought it and who is reading it. I love y'all.

-----

And lastly, King Charles' coronation will take place tomorrow in the U.K.. The Robb Report says one of the highlights of the coronation is going to be when Charles holds the Royal scepter. It contains the world's largest clear-cut diamond, the Star of Africa. The 530-carat diamond was found in South Africa in 1905. Many South Africans want Charles to return the jewel.

The List for Thursday, May 4th 2023

Welcome to The List,

We start today by wishing you a happy Thursday and May the 4th be with you and In recognition of "Star Wars" Day today, Fandom.com analyzed data from its site to determine which movie from the Skywalker Saga is the most popular in each state. In Iowa 1983’s ‘Return Of The Jedi’…was the favorite.  It's not so shocking that "A New Hope" has the highest number of states, with 11.  But it IS shocking that it's TIED at that number with "The Phantom Menace". What's even MORE shocking is that "The Empire Strikes Back", which most people consider the BEST "Star Wars" movie, leads in only THREE states. I'm not sure these counts would hold up to legit scrutiny.  Or, to put it another way . . . I detect a disturbance in the Force...

-----

We have updated news on Jamie Foxx, he’s still in the hospital, more than three weeks after suffering what has still only been described as a "medical complication." But yesterday, either he or someone on his team posted a message on Instagram, saying, quote, "Appreciate all the love!!!  Feeling blessed." Still, friends of the family are telling the media that he still needs all the prayers and well wishes his fans can give. Also, Jamie and his daughter Corrinne will not appear on Season 6 of "Beat Shazam".  Nick Cannon will take over as host.

-----

Toby Keith on the mend after being diagnosed with stomach cancer…will host his 19th annual Golf Classic on June 2nd and 3rd in Oklahoma to benefit the OK Kids Korral.  There will also be a silent auction with celebrity memorabilia from Taylor Swift, Dolly Parton, and more and a performance from Sawyer Brown. Toby went through six months of Chemo, radiation and surgery and hopes to see fans sooner than later.

-----

It's still not official yet, but it's really starting to look like Kevin Costner is leaving "Yellowstone". "Entertainment Tonight" heard from a "source close to the production" that he's done after Season 5.  It's supposedly because of drama between Costner and the show's co-creator Taylor Sheridan. Speaking of Kevin . . . sources are telling TMZ that he was totally blindsided by his wife's divorce filing, and he's devastated.

-----

Tim McGraw celebrated his 56th birthday on Monday, so Faith Hill made his favorite Southern meal of pot roast, rice and gravy, peas, cornbread, collard greens, and sweet tea.  He was SO amped about it, he asked for it to be moved up earlier in the day, from dinner to lunch…the man had to get to the gym!!

-----

And lastly, Thomas Rhett tells the Des Moines Register that three of his daughters can't tour with him until the Summer. “As we have had a million kids ... three of them are in school now so I think we’re kind of waiting until the Summertime until we bring them out on the road.''

As you've probably heard, Hollywood writers are ON STRIKE.  The Writers Guild of America voted to strike after they couldn't make a deal by Tuesday morning at midnight.
