There's a new "Karate Kid" movie coming in 2024 . . . but the details are a complete mystery. When they announced the movie, Sony would only say that it would mark the, quote, "return of the original 'Karate Kid' franchise."  But here's the thing: It has nothing to do with the Netflix show "Cobra Kai". . . So a return to the ORIGINAL franchise . . . which makes you think it won't have anything to do with the 2010 remake starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan….back to the ole wax on wax off?

Luke Combs nailed his appearance on ESPN's "College Game Day".  And like a real football fan, he did some pre-pregaming.  Somebody handed him a can of beer as he was walking in the parking lot . . . and he chugged it in about eight seconds flat.  About ten minutes earlier he did a selfie video while holding a travel mug and saying, “I got a whiskey drink, a windowful of Mountaineers, and I'm about to go make my picks.  Couldn't be more excited." And in case you somehow didn't hear, his Appalachian State Mountaineers beat the Troy Trojans on a last second Hail Mary TD.

Speaking of re-makes and sequels….Remember that 2005 supernatural movie "Constantine" with Keanu Reeves?  In it he plays an occult investigator named John Constantine who communicates with angels and demons.  It's actually based on a DC Comic. Well, Warner Brothers announced they're making a sequel with the same director. But the best part is Keanu is returning as Constantine. No word on when it's expected to come out or who else will be in it.

Country Now is reporting Toby Keith had to cancel his appearance at a fundraiser yesterday because of his battle with stomach cancer.  He was being honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work with cancer patients.  He accepted it through a pre-recorded video because he wasn't feeling well enough to travel.

There's a "tractor battle" brewing between Brantley Gilbert and Blake Shelton.  Blake shared a video last month of himself driving his red tractor.  Now Brantley posted a clip where he's on his green tractor, and saying it's better.  He also promised "not to blow the surprise."  So maybe it's not even about tractors?

Sometimes the rumors are true . . . and this is starting to look like one of those times: CNN reports Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are indeed suffering "marital issues," and are currently, quote, "living separately." It all focuses on Tom coming out of retirement.  She wants their kids to be his new priority, but she also want him to follow his joy…

Luke Combs is the Guest Picker on ESPN's "College Game Day" tomorrow.  They'll be at Appalachian State in Boone, North Carolina, which is where he went to college.  He's actually performing in Green Bay, Wisconsin tonight AND tomorrow night, but he worked out the logistics so he can do it.

The high-profile trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is being turned into a film.  Now, their legal battle, as well as their turbulent relationship, will be adapted into a new film called Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial.  ‘Hot Take’ will premiere on the streaming platform Tubi on Sept. 30.

Vince Gill's "CMT Giants" airs tonight . . . and it'll feature Chris Stapleton performing a cover of Vince's 1994 hit "Whenever You Come Around".  Chris also thanked Vince for inspiring and encouraging him in his career . . . even inviting him to songwriting sessions early on..

OK! magazine says Carrie Underwood is allegedly planning to refocus on her marriage to Mike Fisher. Sources tell the magazine, “They’re not at crisis point, but they’re not at their best either, and her friends are telling her she needs to focus on her marriage before she heads out on the road.

The Sun says Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon may return for "Oceans 14". “Rumors of a film have swirled for years but the timing was off and their jam-packed schedules meant that it was just not possible. Finally, the right team for the job has come together in a bid to make it a huge success and the main stars thought it would be good fun to revisit. The franchise is hugely popular, and the brilliant storyline was an opportunity that was too good to miss.”

We kinda touched on this yesterday but now It's official:  Ashley McBryde is releasing a new album on September 30th called "Ashley McBryde Presents:  Lindeville".  And if the album is half as fun to HEAR as it was to make, I'm in. She says It started a few years ago during songwriting sessions. adding "We stayed in Tennessee in this little house close to a lake.  It was eight bottles of tequila, two cartons of cigarettes, one kitchen table and six individuals out of their minds."

Radar Online claims Will Smith has allegedly been banned from ''Saturday Night Live'' because he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars. A source tells the website, “Smith will never ever be invited back to SNL after what he did to Chris, Will won’t even be able to get a ticket to sit in the audience anymore. He’s not welcome” I don’t think even Chris Rock is holding that kind of grudge…

It’s just like Top Gun. They waited a long time to make another version of that movie, and I loved the nostalgia piece they incorporated in it…Yeah but Legally Blonde isn’t Top Gun…

Today we learn something new about Mitchell Tenpenny.  He tells Billboard magazine that he used to steal his sister's pants to go to metal shows. Saying he grew up on country music but also loved metal and rock as well. Back then they didn’t have skinny jeans unless you bought like Diesels and he couldn’t afford them, so he had to go steal his sister’s or aunt’s jeans to look cool."…”Mom! Mitch stole my jeans again!!”

Buzz still surrounding Tom Brady as to why he mysteriously went missing for a couple weeks from the Buccaneers…he says he did not tape an episode of ''The Masked Singer''.NY Post quotes him as saying,  I wasn’t masked and I’m not a singer. I’m basically good at one thing, which is throwing passes. Other than that, I’m basically worthless.” And yes his wife is still mad at him for not retiring…

Yesterday we reported that King Charles would let Prince Harry and Meghan back into the fold as long as Harry did certain things…like apologize to Kate and William and not publish his book…well, the Daily Beast reports today that Harry HAS to publish the book for financial reasons there’s no going back at this point.  In fact Harry is pushing to have this book published in November..the time bomb is ticking….

Ralph Macchio tells Comicbook.com that more Karate Kid and Cobra Kai spin-offs are on the way. Is there a Miyagi origin story? Is there a Cobra Kai prequel before The Karate Kid? Is there spin-offs with some of the young cast of these characters? Who knows? But we're not done as long as we're given the opportunity to really bring it in.  The new season of ''Cobra Kai'' is streaming now on Netflix.

It looks like Ashley McBryde and Brothers Osborne will be releasing a song, or something, on September 30th.  They both posted the same clip on social media of a young girl "playing" the accordion.  Behind her is the word "Lindeville" spelled out in red letters . . . and both captions read 9:30.
