The List for Monday, July 17th 2023

Welcome to The List,

In case you haven't heard, actors are now on strike . . . which means they CANNOT promote their projects or attend premieres.  Unfortunately, this didn't work out for the "Haunted Mansion" premiere that took place at Disneyland on Saturday, instead of the actors walking the red carpet, there was Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, and the Evil Queen.

-----

Jason Aldean rushed OFF stage after 20 minutes of performing in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday . . . and he did not come back.  The audience was confused, and there were rumors about what happened. He cleared it up yesterday in a video.

-----

Radar Online says a judge has told Kevin Costner's ex, Christine, that she cannot take any furniture, appliances, furnishings or artwork from their marital home. She is allowed to take her toiletries and must be out of the home by July 31st. Kevin claims Christine has been using his credit cards without consent. She reportedly bought a new car with one…

-----

If you're going to a Miranda Lambert show, you better WATCH Miranda, or you might get scolded.  There's a video making the rounds of her on stage in Vegas calling out a group of girls taking selfies.  It was during her acoustic performance of "Tin Man" . . . which is a very tender and quiet moment.  The girls were clearly distracting her because she paused the show and called them out.

-----

Snoop Dogg says he once had a pet cockroach for six months. The Daily Mail quotes him as saying, ''In my apartment, I had a roach that we couldn't kill. He wouldn't die, so we called him The Gooch ... we used to leave food out for him and everything.''..i guess that was one roach he couldn’t smoke…

-----

This is the first time I've seen a country star belt it out while sitting in the backseat of an Uber.  There was a karaoke machine in an Uber that picked up Toby Keith, so he put on a show for the driver and other passengers. He sang "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)" and somebody filmed it.  Toby even posted the clip online. If you’d like to see it...click HERE

The List for Friday, July 14th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Hollywood writers will have some company on the picket lines, because now the ACTORS are on strike.  The performers union, SAG-AFTRA, voted for the stoppage yesterday. The strike began at midnight.  It's the first time that actors and writers have been on strike together since 1960.  Well, it looks like re-runs of Gilligan’s Island on Tubi for me.

-----

Disney is feeling the pressure, after losing $900Million in box office flops over this movie season.  and another $659Million due to subscribers dumping Disney+.  It’s CEO Bob Iger says that two of the company’s biggest franchises are going to feel it as well. By producing less Marvel and "Star Wars" content.  Quote, "You pull back not just to focus, but also as part of our cost containment initiative . . . Spending less on what we make."

-----

There may be hope for Jimmie Allen's marriage, despite the two sexual assault charges he's looking at.  It appears that he's trying to work things out with his estranged wife, Alexis Gale. He told "People", quote, He recently took time off to be with his wife, kids, and friends, "to ensure everyone was okay." He filed two countersuits yesterday against his accusers in Nashville federal court.

-----

Miranda Lambert and her husband, Brendan, are ready to start a family. A source says “Miranda and Brendan have been married for over four years, and They’re ready to expand the family.  Currently Miranda is preforming her “Velvet Rodeo” residency in Las Vegas through the end of the year, so it’ll have to be between sets…or something…

-----

Priscilla Block Reveals Gross Facts About Herself ... She reveals that she is a championship "burper." Priscilla also says she was supposed to be a twin,  “I am a really great burper…I can hold pitch, it’s like just a long burp like belch.  It’s very, very ladylike.  Another thing fans might not know about me.  I was supposed to be a twin!  I think I ate my twin!! I’m serious! That is actually real. I won’t go into all the details but, I have lived my life eating for two people.”

-----

And finally, The New York Post says 'Wheel of Fortune' host Pat Sajak recently responded to a funny tweet made by an account called Chicago History. Chicago History posted a meme that read;  “If someone from 1981 suddenly woke up in 2023, what would surprise them the most?” Sajak responded; “That Pat Sajak was still hosting Wheel of Fortune.''

The List for Thursday, July 13th 2023

Welcome to The List,

No matter what you think of Tom Cruise, you can't accuse him of not putting in the work. On Tuesday, he attended "Mission: Impossible" premieres in D.C, Miami, Atlanta, and Toronto. In Atlanta, he told the crowd, quote, "Hope you enjoy the film, 'cause we made it for you." "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One" hit theaters yesterday.

-----

Hoda Kotb is a pretty good broadcaster, and she loves country music, so I'll give her that.  But when it comes to singing, well . . .On Tuesday, she presented Shania Twain with a Double Diamond Platinum record of her 1997 album, "Come on Over".  This was ON stage at Madison Square Garden.  Then Shania asked her to help sing, "You're Still the One". Hoda went along with it and, luckily, it was quick because she has a terrible voice.

-----

Garth Brooks, Lainey Wilson, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will be performing at the inaugural Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff.  It's being held September 2nd at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. It's celebrating the start of the college football season . . . and the plan is for it to be an annual Labor Day weekend event.

-----

The 2023 ESPY awards was last night – Best Team went to the Kansas City Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes getting the award for Best Athlete, Men’s sports. Best Play went to Justin Jefferson with the catch of the century and it’s really something to see.  The ESPYS honor the Buffalo Bills training staff with the Pat Tillman Award for Service for their quick action in assisting Buffalo Bills Defensive back Damar Hamlin when he collapsed and went into cardiac arrest on the field after tackling Bengals receiver Tee Higgins during the game.

-----

The New York Post says a swanky screening of “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One”, recently turned into a disaster for some moviegoers. They were turned away from the screening in New York because they were underdressed. Their invite read , “Dress code: Evening Cocktail Attire (no jeans, no T-shirt, no logos/offensive clothing). Paramount reserves the right to turn anyone away for improper dress or other reasons. Comfortable shoes highly recommended.”

-----

I would have never guessed this but Tim McGraw tells Parade Magazine that he is intimidated by small concert crowds. "It's more intimidating with a smaller crowd, for some reason. Because it's more intimate, you can see everybody, so it's not like you're yelling to the back rafters."

Luke Combs new hit song ‘Fast Car’ is at the top of the charts AND has been number one on the Top Kix At 6…But Luke says it took him a long time to learn how to play it on his guitar… “It took me months to be able to play it and then to be able to play it and sing it took even more time you know? And so I always would just kind of cover that in my bar gigs and people just loved it as much as I loved it. You know?" Adding that the song was way more advanced on guitar than he was when he learned it.

-----

Jordan Davis was caught sleeping backstage at a Dierks Bentley concert. Someone posted the video on Instagram. Jordan captioned it with, ''Never get tired of Dierks Bentley set this summer….''

-----

Sometimes it’s best to run new material in front of someone before you commit to it..it could be your kids…or in Jon Pardi’s case he tells CMT; his wife…Saying Summer is a great barometer on whether a song is good or not.  She pulls no punches if she doesn’t like a song and why. You need that kind of honesty in this business.

-----

Tom Cruise’s new blockbuster Mission Impossible is in theaters and he says making movies isn’t work to him…“This isn’t work to me, this is pleasure, this is why we do it.  This is why I make my films for audiences; I love these moments. I feel fortunate that I’ve spent my birthday’s most of them on movie sets or promoting films so, it’s a real privilege.” Thursday, we’ll take a look at Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One with ‘At The Movies’ during the Drive At Five.  Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One' is in theaters now.

The List for Tuesday, July 10th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Things are heating up between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt regarding their French winery…She filed new court papers against Brad Pitt's claim that he built their French winery business. Angelina says he is an actor, not a winemaker, and that he deals in illusions, the Academy Award winner said…not dirt and grapes….

-----

The media is really invested in the box office battle between "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer", which both open on July 21st.  Even though they don't seem like they'd have any audience crossover at all.  But maybe that's not the case.  AMC Theaters says that around 20,000 people who belong to their Stubs rewards program have already bought tickets to see both movies ON THE SAME DAY.

-----

When Lainey Wilson performed on "American Idol" in May it was kind of a homecoming.  Strike that.  Let's call it "returning to the scene of the crime".  The crime is how many times "Idol" rejected her in the past.  She talked about it in an interview BEFORE the May appearance where we learned she got rejected SEVEN times!!  Never got past the first round…and “The Voice” didn’t work out either.

-----

With Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Pt 1 in theaters tomorrow, The Daily Mail says Tom Cruise has his sights set on his next movie AND leading lady.  Margot Robbie. A source tells the newspaper,.Tom and Margot made 'tentative plans' to meet up and discuss the project when they return to Los Angeles,
