The List for Tuesday, September 19th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Celebrities have been auctioning themselves off to raise money for Hollywood strike relief. As of last night, the high bid to have John Lithgow paint a watercolor portrait of your dog was $4,450 . . But the auction has led to some hilarious memes, with people making up FAKE celebrity auctions. For example, The Cullins (from "Twilight") turn you into a vampire or get drunk with the cast of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" as they belittle and insult you while they stay in full character.

-----

Brian Kelley responded to a recent Instagram poll that asked fans whether they thought Florida Georgia Line would reunite within two years. The vote appeared relatively close, with a majority responding in favor of the duo reforming.  Kelley, one half of the hit-making duo with fellow singer-songwriter Tyler Hubbard, shared the poll results on his Instagram story on Monday and replied: “Respectfully I can tell you that’s not happening.” They didn’t break up…they’re just taking a break.

-----

Will there be a “John Wick 5”? Well, the producer of the "John Wick" movies, Basil Iwanyk, says that Keanu Reeves wanted his character to be "definitively" killed at the end of "John Wick 4". Of course, we know that DIDN'T happen.  The producers and filmmakers told him, quote, "We'll leave a 10% little opening."

-----

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios is particularly terrifying this year, thanks to the addition of . . . Taylor Swift.  Or at least, the THREAT of Taylor Swift. Somebody who was there Sunday night recorded a message that played over the p.a. system when the show was closing. The guy said, quote, "The rides are closed, mazes are closed there is no reason to stay here any longer.  You don't have to go home but you can't stay here.  We only have 7 hours to get the park ready for tomorrow . . . "Hit the bricks, take a hike gather your belongings and your drunk friends and go or we start playing Taylor Swift at full volume."

-----

Chris Stapleton shared a tease of himself singing the new "Monday Night Football" theme that debuted last night.  It's a cover of the Phil Collins classic "In The Air Tonight" and it also features Snoop Dogg, plus Cindy Blackman Santana on drums.

And lastly, Jelly Roll was recently performing in concert when he invited a young girl, with fake tattoos on her face, on stage to sing  "Save Me" with him.  The girl gave Jelly Roll a big hug before singing

If you’re interested in such things…The Daily Mail says Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal almost fought in Sylvester Stallone's back yard in 1997 in front of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, and Shaquille O'Neal. Van Damme was tired of Seagal claiming he could beat him, so he challenged him outside. Seagal wanted none of it."

-----

Alan Jackson celebrated what would've been Hank Williams' 100th birthday yesterday with an acoustic cover of "Your Cheatin' Heart".  He says, quote, "I don't think I'd be here without you."  Hank passed away at the young age of 29 back in 1953.

-----

HARDY will be presented with the ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Year award at next week’s Academy of Country Music Honors, and his pal Bailey Zimmerman celebrated the accomplishment with a soulful performance of “Signed, Sober You”.  Watch the ACM Honors on Monday Sept. 18 at 7pm on Fox.

-----

Geo TV says Ben Affleck is allegedly having trouble standing up to his controlling wife, Jennifer Lopez. Therapy helps keep them together. A source says, "Lopez feels the need to micromanage Ben's life to an extreme degree. Now Ben's so badgered and browbeaten he doesn't have the strength to stand up for himself."

-----

And lastly, There's a chance Aaron Rodgers could return this season . . . especially if the Jets make the playoffs…Not if they keep playing like they did last night against the Cowboys.  Jets lost 30-10…

You may not believe this, but Carrie Underwood's home life is very similar to yours and mine.  Oh, there may be a "slightly" bigger house with slightly fancier things . . . but they're doing the same mundane stuff we all do. "The kids go to school.  My husband usually takes them, but the second they leave it's like, gotta vacuum [make] their beds and check their rooms  make sure there are no wet towels on the floor, stuff like that” Carrie does a lot of gardening, cooking, canning something and before you know it she says they come home and we make dinner.  Carrie’s Las Vegas residency just announced more dates for 2024…and Denim and Rhinestones Deluxe is out September 22nd

-----

Kelsea Ballerini pulled off a fun wardrobe change at the "MTV Video Music Awards" on Tuesday night . . . WHILE she was onstage . . . hidden behind some fog.  If you're wondering how it happened, Kelsea shared some silly footage from backstage on TikTok, where she's talking through it . . . but she didn't quite have it down yet.
