Oh, there may be a "slightly" bigger house with slightly fancier things . . . but they're doing the same mundane stuff we all do. "The kids go to school. My husband usually takes them, but the second they leave it's like, gotta vacuum [make] their beds and check their rooms make sure there are no wet towels on the floor, stuff like that” Carrie does a lot of gardening, cooking, canning something and before you know it she says they come home and we make dinner. Aaron Rodgers took the first step in his return to football after tearing his Achilles ... he says he had successful surgery, posting an update from his hospital bed!!! The New York Jets star quarterback shared a positive injury update Thursday on social media, saying he went under the knife Wednesday ... reporting the procedure "went great”. Aaron's going to turn 40 years old in December, so a comeback will be no easy task ... but he's got the first hurdle out of the way.

Jimmie Carter, the 39th President will be 99 years old October 1st, and wheels are in motion to ensure that it's his most meaningful birthday yet. The result is a grand "Jimmy Carter 99" campaign, asking people around the world to send messages to President Carter — be them birthday wishes, fond memories or tributes — on the Carter Center website or by posting on social media the #JimmyCarter99 hashtag.

More than a year after her namesake talk show came to an end, Ellen DeGeneres is planning a return to television. The comedian is combining her TV presence and her lifelong passion and commitment to animals for a new two-hour special, Saving the Gorillas: Ellen's Next Adventure, for Discovery. Set to air on Discovery Channel on Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. ET, with an encore presentation on Sept. 24 in honor of World Gorilla Day and streaming options on both discovery+ and Max.

The Messenger says a "John Wick"-themed bar will open in New York City on September 21st. The bar, called "Welcome to the Continental: The Hotel Bar Experience," is located in the building that’s used as the Continental Hotel in the John Wick movie franchise. The bar is being opened to promote the John Wick prequel series, "The Continental: From the World of John Wick."

Dolly Parton revealed an interesting connection between the song “I Will Always Love You” and Elvis's 1973 divorce from Priscilla Presley. “Elvis loved the song, in fact I talked to Priscilla not very long ago. She said, “You know Elvis sang that song to me when we were walking down the courthouse steps when we got divorced.” The irony is that Dolly turned down Elvis's request to record the song, because he wanted half of the royalties.

Music Row is reporting today that in honor of Sawyer Brown’s 40th anniversary, the band is releasing Get Me To The Stage On Time, a documentary of how a Nashville outlier changed the country genre by turning 15 minutes of fame into 40 years. Executively produced by Blake Shelton, is a behind-the-scenes look at millions of miles, 24 albums, 6,000 shows and gratitude for the legions of loyal fans, even when Nashville counted them out.

Giant Freakin Robot says Macaulay Culkin may return for a new Home Alone movie. The film will likely be on Disney+. The plot involves Culkin's character, Kevin, working as a security company CEO. A source says, "It would be a Christmas miracle if Macaulay reprises his role as Kevin."

Yesterday we reported that the Drew Barrymore show went on to tape without writers in opposition to the writer’s strike…well, here comes the backlash… The National Book Foundation has said they’re dropping Barrymore as host of their upcoming awards ceremony. They wrote in part on X “Our commitment is to ensure that the focus of the awards remains on celebrating writers and books” So in leu of her resuming her show they’ve rescinded their invite to host.

Lace up those dancing shoes!! Dancing With The Stars returns to ABC now..Tuesday nights starting September 26th. Alfonso Ribeiro returns as host, while Julianne Hough joins him as a judge. Hitting the ballroom this year include actress Alyson Hannnigan, "Brady Bunch" alum Barry Williams, singer Jason Mraz, Oscar winner Mira Sorvino and model Tyson Beckford to name a few. They join the previously announced celebs: reality stars Ariana Madix and Charity Lawson as well as singer/actress Jamie Lynn Spears.

Hank Williams Jr. tells CMT that he married his longtime friend and fiancée, Brandi, at Enon Baptist Church in Banks, Alabama. The couple have been friends since 2003 and got engaged on Mother’s Day earlier this year.
