Freddy Krueger's sweater in "A Nightmare on Elm Street" is NOT red and green because of Christmas. Even though it was probably one of his favorite holidays…Here’s another piece of the story…it wasn't a random choice. Director Wes Craven chose that color combination because of SCIENCE. He read in a scientific article that the combo is the most difficult for the human eye to see, so he figured it would make even Freddy's clothes uncomfortable to watch.

And that includes some of this year's hottest costumes, like Barbie and Wednesday Addams. The union asked members to, quote, "choose costumes inspired by generalized characters and figures: ghost, zombie, spider, etc." Ryan Reynolds Tweeted, quote, "I look forward to screaming 'scab' at my 8-year-old all night. She's not in the union but she needs to learn."…Well, I’m not an actor…so, I’m kinda looking forward to dressing up as “Barbie” this year.
