Move over Hallmark channel there’s a new player in town…and it’s called QVC. They’re not just a home shopping network anymore . . . they've gotten into the very lucrative business of making cheesy, contrived holiday romantic comedies. Their first Christmas movie, "Holly & the Hot Chocolate", will premiere on it on Thanksgiving Day And it looks bad.  Like, REALLY bad.  It's about a food critic with car trouble and a cranky tow truck driver who, of course, find love . . . in a town where a guy sells really good hot chocolate.

There's an intentional Easter egg in "Top Gun: Maverick", and if you caught it, Tom Cruise would be quite impressed.  A guy's yell from the volleyball scene in the first "Top Gun" was sampled and used in the football scene in the new movie. A fan on Twitter pointed it out and Eddie Hamilton, an editor on the movie, noticed the Tweet and said, quote, "I am stoked you noticed this.  Very deliberate little nod . . . No one else has spotted this as far as I'm aware.  Enjoy your time in the smug zone.”

Elle King's debut country album, "Come Get Your Wife", will be out in January. Obviously, she's very excited about it. Quote, "I've poured my heart and a lot of tequila into this record.  I hope people like it because I'm proud of it and I can't wait to sing all these songs live and I hope you guys want to sing them with me."  She says this new album is packed full of emotion and excitement and a lot of gratitude toward the country music fans…

After the 2022 we've had, this is one of the best things I could have heard:  Woody and Buzz from "Toy Story" are best buddies in real life.  Tim Allen says he and Tom Hanks are super-close and have been having lunch together since the first "Toy Story".  And even though they disagree on a lot of things, he says, quote, "I adore that man's heart and mind."

CMA’s Country Christmas date and performers have been announced. Dan + Shay, Carly Pearce, Scotty McCreery, Maren Morris, Old Dominion, and Steven Curtis Chapman are some of the performers on this year with Carly as the host. The show now in it’s Thirteenth year will air from Nashville on ABC December 12^th.

Jay Leno told TMZ how he lit his face on fire.  He was fixing a clogged fuel line on a "Steam Car" and accidentally sprayed gasoline on his face and hands . . . and at the same time, a spark triggered an explosion that lit him up. Jay says a friend quickly jumped on him and smothered the flames, but he still suffered third-degree burns on his face and hands.  He might need skin grafts and is still in the hospital, and he might have to stay there into next week.

Mariah Carey got a bit of bad news…She just heard a word she's probably not accustomed to hearing:  NO.  Her bid to trademark the phrase "Queen of Christmas" “Princes Christmas and Christmas Princes was DENIED.  She was hoping to lock them down for a variety of products.

TMZ says Denise Richards was involved in a road rage incident on Monday in LA. She was headed to a studio when a driver behind her started shouting and yelling because she did not know where she was going. The other driver opened fire as he passed Denise and her husband. No one was hurt. Denise made it to the studio and worked 12 hours…because that’s what you do after being shot at in LA….

Gwen Stefani tells Entertainment Tonight that she is going to get Blake Shelton a retirement gift when he leaves ''The Voice''. But she has no idea WHAT!!  Saying “He has everything. But I think his favorite thing would be a bag of corn, like honestly, he would be so thrilled. Or fertilizer or something like that.” ..yeah, fertilizer…that oughta work.

Jason Aldean tells CountryNow.com that his wife should NEVER drink and shop…She made some weird purchases after drinking wine. She ordered some sweet corn Squirrelog, deer feed and miniature picnic tables for squirrels off of Amazon. …at least it’s Amazon and not Oscar De La Renta or Brunello Cucinelli…

As reported late yesterday, Jay Leno suffered serious burns to his face on Saturday, when one of his cars burst into flames inside a garage in Burbank.  According to TMZ, Jay burned the left side of his face, but there was no damage to his eye or ear. He was taken by ambulance to a place called Grossman Burn Center, but it's not clear if he's still there.  He had to cancel a gig on Sunday in Las Vegas. He did release a statement yesterday saying, that he’s ok, and he’s taking a couple weeks to get back on his feet.

Christina Applegate made her first public appearance yesterday since being diagnosed with MS.  She was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  She used a walking stick and posed barefoot with her star. There were speeches from her "Married...with Children" co-stars Katey Sagal and David Faustino.  And "Dead to Me" co-star Linda Cardellini and creator Liz Feldman. And Katy stayed with Christina at the podium during her speech, for support.

Morgan Wallen didn't win a CMA last week, but that's okay, because he had a really good year.  He says it's because he stayed focused and did the work. "I think we played like 75 shows or something this year.  And I did them all mostly in a sober state of mind.  I was really, really focused."

Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are selling cannabis-infused edibles shaped like bitten ears.  They're called Holy Ears.  Mike bit a chunk out of Evander's ear during a fight in 1997. They say it’s all about helping people…

The people over at the CMA’s are happy today!!  They found out the ratings for this year's CMA Awards were UP compared to last year.  According to the "Hollywood Reporter", 7.6 million viewers tuned in this year, compared to 6.8 million last year.  The 2021 number was an all-time low, so the organizers are probably relieved that the show got a bump this year.  Probably had a lot to do with the hosts…Eli Manning and Luke Bryan…maybe…

Here’s a twist….Alec Baldwin wants to make sure it's on the record that he is NOT responsible for the death of "Rust" cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. And he's doing that by SUING several crew members who had anything to do with the loaded gun that went off and killed her. One of the reasons Alec is doing this is because HE is being sued by script supervisor Mamie Mitchell, who was also hit by the bullet that discharged from Alec's gun.

"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" did about what everyone expected . . . making $180 million in the U.S. in its opening weekend. That's a record for November, "Black Panther" made $150 million internationally, for a worldwide total of $330 million. The original "Black Panther" made $202 million in the U.S. in its opening weekend back in 2018.

Lainey Wilson has spent her whole life immersed in country music.  But there she was making her acting debut on last night's "Yellowstone".  And it looks like she may have a future there too. That's according to Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton on the show.  She told Lainey it looked like she had been "doing it forever”. She did very well, I watched the two-hour season premier and all I can say is … wow…it’s going to be a good season…

Congratulations to Dolly Parton she was awarded $100 million as the recipient of Jeff Bezos' 2022 Courage and Civility Award.  The money will be donated to organizations of her choice.  She said, quote, "When people are in a position to help, you should help.  I try to put my money where my heart is and will do good things with this."

The new Godzilla, King Kong movie has a new title… sort of…Now, it’s called Godzilla AND Kong…because now they’re friends.  To be fair, this title hasn’t been officially announced yet; so it’s always possible the movie will actually end up being called Godzilla Or Kong, or Godzilla But Kong.  Still, the whole “And” thing does tie into the already released synopsis for the film, which states that it pits “the almighty Kong *and* the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world.”…We’re holding our breath….

Parties are already being scheduled for spring of next year…it’s confirmed that Kenny Chesney, Shania Twain, Eric Church, Carly Pearce, Jake Owen, and Brett Young are some of the acts performing at next year's Tortuga Music Festival.  It's going down April 14th through the 16th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
