We start The List today with some sad news Paul Sorvino the actor who played mob boss Paul Cicero in the movie ‘Goodfellas’ passed away yesterday.  He also played a gangster in the Tom Cruise thriller "The Firm", Journalist Yashar Ali pointed out that we've recently lost FOUR legends from the fictional mob:  Sorvino and Ray Liotta from "Goodfellas", James Caan from "The Godfather", and Tony "Paulie Walnuts" Sirico from "The Sopranos". Paul Sorvino passed of natural causes, he was 83.

Luke Combs flew a cancer patient named Addi and her family to his show in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday.  He put them a luxury suite, gave them a tour of the venue . . . and then brought Addi to the stage and serenaded her.  You can watch the touching below.

It’s Summer and already we’re talking about Halloween!!  This Season The Simpsons will parody Stephen King’s classic novel It in a special singular Treehouse Of Horror episode.

Details of the show’s upcoming 34th season were teased at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday where executive producer Matt Selman announced that one of the two Halloween episodes in the next season will be dedicated entirely to a parody of It. The 34th season is set to premiere on September 25 on Fox.

Blake Shelton shared a photo of THREE racing helmets that were given to him by his buddy, Jimmie Johnson.  One of the helmets is autographed, but the others have photos of two different men.  Blake didn't mention their names in the caption.  But, someone in the comments shed some light on that. Quote, "Love this.  I saw the backstory of you and Jimmie helping with the design and the fact that it has your brother and dad included.  What a special gift."  Blake's dad Richard passed away in 2012.  His older brother Richie died in a car crash in 1990.  He was 24.

Ace Showbiz says Vin Diesel celebrated his 55th birthday yesterday by having dinner with Helen Mirren. The two are filming the tenth Fast and the Furious movie in Rome. A source says they downed wine. "Diesel was wearing a blazer, which he then took off to reveal a tank top, because.. it’s Vin Diesel…

And finally, Bloomberg says Brad Paisley has sold the rights to his music to an investment firm called Harbor View. They paid $25 million for his song catalog.

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK, YETI!!

Yeti is a 7 month old husky that came to us when his owners were no longer able to keep him. He is a high energy breed and will need an active home. He does well with kids and other dogs. He loves to play and go on care rides.

Big news over the weekend was Comic Con and all things Marvel themed..and Walking Dead news…cosplay…with highlights this year centering around the  announcement of two new "Avengers" movies, the trailer for "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", and news on Rick Grimes' future in the "Walking Dead" universe.

Carrie Underwood shared an awesome "How it started - How it's going" last Friday.  It begins with a throwback clip of herself as a kid singing the Patty Loveless 1993 hit "Blame It On Your Heart".  Then it cuts to a grown-up Carrie doing the same song on the Grand Ole Opry.  It was a preview of her performance on Saturday's "Opry Loves the '90s", which also featured Jimmie Allen, Cody Johnson, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, and Chris Young.

Actual drama on the Production set of FX’s "Justified".  Filming was halted when two cars crashed onto the Chicago set, with the occupants SHOOTING at each other.  Justified: City Primeval was filming Wednesday night in Douglass Park on the city’s West Side when the two vehicles broke through the perimeter. No cast or crewmembers were hurt; star Timothy Olyphant was among those at the location.  Filming is slated to resume this week.

Luke Bryan was performing in Bristow, Virginia last Thursday, and he noticed a sign that said, "Luke, Strip it down for Grandma's 85th Birthday."  So rather than take it LITERALLY . . . he went over to grandma and serenaded her with a little of his 2015 song, "Strip It Down….

Fun news from the ‘House Of Mouse’ - Disney+ continues its experimentation with new versions of Moana, Encanto and several other hit musical movies. Last week, the streamer announced new "Sing-Along versions" of its classic movies so that fans can have a karaoke-style watch party. The first of these movies was released back in March, and two more were released on Friday, July 22. Several more will follow next month.

The Sing-Along versions of Moana and The Little Mermaid are streaming now on Disney+, and 2019 remake of The Lion King is coming on Friday, Aug. 5. These new versions show the lyrics on screen like a karaoke machine, inviting the audience to sing along to their favorite songs.

Kelsea Ballerini's new album, "Subject to Change", drops September 23rd . . . and she'll be promoting it with a tour that launches the next day.  The "Heartfirst Tour" will kick-off September 24th in New York City, and wrap October 14th Mashantucket, Connecticut.

Summer is here, time for vacations, swimming pools and sunscreen…I love summer…motorcycle rides and hot weather…Mitchell Tenpenny loves summer too...except for one thing….“The thing I love about summertime the most is just being outdoors. Except for the bugs all the time. It gets a little mosquito heavy down here in the south but I’d take it just to be outside.” I have to agree, you can KEEP those little flying bloodsuckers.

Drama at ‘Dancing With The Stars’!  A source tells OK! Magazine that Tyra Banks allegedly threatened to quit the show after Alfonso Ribeiro was hired to co-host. Tyra is supposed to be an executive producer on the show, she insisted that she also be a producer to make sure she was sitting at the table where the decisions are made. But didn’t find out about the co-host until the deal was done. Tyra walks when she is not happy.   If Tyra doesn’t feel like she is being respected, she is gone.” And so…..they have a built in back up…right?

We reported on Jason Aldean’s mural someone painted on a wall in his home of Macon Georgia and he’s finally weighed-in on it. Saying He doesn't know who painted it, and he appreciates the gesture.  But.  He thinks it makes him look like Beavis of "Beavis and Butt-Head"…

Some seats for the upcoming Bruce Springsteen tour are selling for up to $5,000 directly from Ticketmaster.  It's part of their new "dynamic pricing" program, which supposedly freezes out scalpers.  Unfortunately, it doesn't do much for the concertgoer.

Gabby Barrett’s songs like ‘The Good Ones’ is being used by her fans as wedding songs…She was asked how it feels to have fans use her music for special occasions.  "One of the reasons I do what I do is to help people, and be related to people through music.  So to have a song that can be involved in somebody's special day that you never forget about.  It's amazing."

Apparently, Hollywood and the various streaming services haven't heard how bad the economy is, because movie stars are still getting MASSIVE payouts. Tom Cruiseis projected to earn $100 million for "Top Gun: Maverick" alone.  Of course that also includes profit participation and all those other perks.  But check out what these other stars are getting paid for their upcoming movies:

Dwayne Johnson, "Black Adam". . . $22.5 million

Chris Hemsworth, "Extraction 2". . . $20 million

Jason Momoa is getting $15 million for "Aquaman 2". . . Eddie Murphyis getting the same for a fourth "Beverly Hills Cop". . .

Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson is reportedly getting weight loss surgery next month.  She's 275 pounds, and wants to slim down to 125.  She's tried to lose weight through diet and exercise, but it's not working.

Miranda Lambert and Gwen Sebastian have finished their" summer camping" vacation.  Miranda shared photos that included a group pic on a river raft.  She wrote, "Thanks to Gwennie's family for the great hang and high note to end on.  What an amazing trip.  Best summer ever."

Was there a song or album you were obsessed with as a kid?  Lady A's Charles Kelley remembers being 10 years old and listening to Nirvana's album "Nevermind" over and over.  He says, quote, "Anytime I hear it I'm immediately teleported back.  The sound of it blew me away."

Henry Cavill quickly started to trend on Wednesday following a report that the actor could announce his return as Superman at the first San Diego Comic-Con event since the pandemic. News of Cavill’s possible appearance was mentioned in passing in a Deadline report on what to expect at the fan convention this weekend, but that was all that it took for Twitter to run wild.
