Legendary music mogul/producer/rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is going to host AND executive produce the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.  This year the celebration will air live coast-to-coast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 7 p.m. CT on NBC; it will also stream on the Peacock service.

DreamWorks animated feature “The Bad Guys” Starring the voices of Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron and Anthony Ramos as a group of criminal animals who, upon being caught, pretend to attempt to reform themselves as model citizens.  Was number ONE at the box office over the weekend earning a cool $24 million.  Followed by ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2” and “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” rounding out the top three.  ‘The Bad Guys’ will be streaming on Peacock around June 6th

Here's a trivia question that's timely.  Do you remember the country music video that featured Amber Heard?’ Need a hint?  She played the grown daughter who "headed off to the West Coast" . . . breaking her dad's heart in the process.  Yep, it was Kenny Chesney’s "There Goes My Life" video, which came out in 2003.

While we're on the subject.  Old Dominion did a pop-up show last week in Tampa, Florida . . . and at one point Kenny joined them to perform his song, "Save It for a Rainy Day".  It was co-written by a couple of guys in Old Dominion.

The dress worn by Judy Garland in ''The Wizard of Oz'' is going to be auctioned off in May. The blue and white dress is expected to sell for as much as $1.2 million.  The dress was as found in a shoebox on top of mailboxes in the Drama Department at The Catholic University of America in Washington DC. You can see it on Tuesday’s episode of the Today Show on NBC

The Latest ‘Lightyear’ trailer is out and reveals the ‘Toy Story’ spin-off’s plot and villain.  In the second and more in-depth look at the upcoming animated film, Buzz (voiced by Chris Evans) and his team are seen stranded on a hostile planet more than 4 million light-years from Earth. ‘Lightyear’ will fly into theaters on June 17th. Kacey Musgraves has a great story about the time her grandpa played poker with Willie Nelson and beat him.  But the ‘Buy in’ was $300 cash “So, I went to an ATM I got out some money when I got home I handed Pop a wad of cash and I said Merry Christmas and he said what’s this for. I said this is your buy in for Willie Nelsons poker game tomorrow. He loses all of his money eventually wins it all back and gets up and says well I gotta go.” At least he ended on a HIGH note..no pun intended….

Rapper Snoop Dogg seems to be on EVERYONES recordings…but, it comes at a price…. In a recent interview, Snoop revealed that he charges $250,000 for a feature.  . and that'll get you about 16 bars. If you want Snoop to appear in the video, that's ANOTHER $250,000 So for the full package, he's banking half-a-mil. Oh, and he's not gonna sit around all day waiting for your director to get the lighting and blocking right.  He says, quote, "You only got an hour, so get to filming."

Here’s something that might curl in your noodle…When Mitchell Tenpenny was young, he played drums in a hardcore Metal band.  His mother supported him, because . . . moms.  And then he grew up.  In college he focused on acoustic guitar and songwriting.   Mom didn't have to pretend about liking that.  The first time he played her one of his songs she started tearing up and crying, tears of joy of course because he wasn’t playing all that screaming Metal music.

Alec Baldwin's ill-fated movie "Rust" was hit Wednesday with the maximum possible fine by state safety officials in New Mexico for violations on the set that contributed to the death of a cinematographer.

Sighting "plain indifference" by the production and noted they "willfully violated" known industry safety protocols and imposed a $137,000 fine for firearms safety failures.

As for the guy that pointed the gun and pulled the trigger?  Well, he’s being sued civilly by the victim’s family.
