The List for Monday, October 20th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Ella Langley just dropped “Choosin’ Texas,” and it sounds like a dusty boot stomp with a side-eye. Co-written with Miranda Lambert, so yes, there is twang, grit, and a little lipstick-on-the-mirror attitude. It’s the kind of song that makes you price out cowboy boots and consider blocking your ex before the second chorus. If this doesn’t have you two-stepping in the kitchen, check your pulse. You might already live in Texas.

-----

The King is loading up the tour bus. George Strait is returning to Clemson’s Memorial Stadium in 2026, first time since 1999. Fans are already preheating the tailgate like it is a brisket. By the time tickets drop, somebody’s cousin will be camping in the parking lot. Country royalty, stadium sing-along, “Amarillo by Morning” at full volume. Clear your calendar and maybe your voice.

-----

Allegedly, Taylor is crafting a prenup to protect the empire. Not unromantic, just grown-up. She built it brick by brick and wants it locked up, and the word is Travis respects it. Love is great, but accountants sleep better with paperwork. She has seen how messy splits get in the spotlight. Practical, not pessimistic. And let’s be honest, there is probably an NDA with glitter on it.

-----

So, the J-Lo think pieces are back. After all the talk about her exes not loving her right, one former husband is firing back, saying she was the problem and tossing around cheating claims. Reminder: that is his side of the tea, not a courtroom verdict. Either way, the relationship autopsy is loud, the internet is louder, and Jenny from the Block stays trending like rent day.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, October 17th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Looks like Keith Urban’s gone full hermit since splitting from Nicole Kidman. He skipped the red carpet for his new show The Road because, apparently, the only thing rougher than that title is his divorce. Sources say he’s “embarrassed” and doesn’t want to steal attention from the show. Translation: he knows the headlines would read “Keith Urban Bad Guy in Boots.” Maybe it’s time for a song called The Road to Reputation Recovery.

-----

Zach Top loves classic country, but his real passion? The Seattle Mariners. He’s so obsessed, he SKIPPED an encore in Louisville just to watch the game. Yep ditched fans to sprint backstage for score updates. His monitor guy was literally whispering play-by-plays in his ear mid-song! Mariners slugger Cal Raleigh even uses Zach’s “Bad Luck” as his walk-up tune. Guess when it comes to baseball and country, Zach’s playing both fields… but only one gets his encore.

-----

Rock lost a legend KISS guitarist and original “Spaceman” Ace Frehley passed away at 74. He was hospitalized after a fall caused a brain bleed, and his family made the heartbreaking decision to take him off life support. Ace helped define that face-paint, fire-breathing era of rock since 1973 and came back for the big reunion in the ‘90s. Tonight, somewhere in the sky, there’s one more star with a killer guitar solo.

-----

Kelly Clarkson might be America’s sweetheart, but even sweethearts crash. Sources say she’s exhausted trying to do it all: TV host, mom, singer, professional overachiever. She’s crying nonstop, worried she’s let fans down, and now she’s trying to make a comeback in music. But apparently, it’s not going the way she hoped. Friends say she’s on the verge of an emotional breakdown. Kelly, honey, take a nap. You’ve earned it. The world can wait a minute.

The List for Thursday, October 16th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Kylie Jenner has decided she’s a pop star now. She dropped a verse on a song called Fourth Strike with Terror Jr. and calls herself “King Kylie.” The only crown she’s earned so far? King Autotune. The internet is roasting her harder than a rotisserie chicken. If my microphone had that many filters, I’d sound like Morgan Freeman too.

-----

Luke Bryan just proved why he’s still hanging around country music. During a CMT interview, fans shouted “We love you, Blake!” and Luke fired back, “Kiss my ass!” He says the only reason he’s still in the game is to stay ahead of Blake Shelton’s #1 hits. Luke’s got 32, Blake’s got 30. Forget the charts this is NASCAR with cowboy boots.

-----

Jackson Dean just made every nutritionist quit. When asked “Coffee or whiskey?” he said “Whiskey.” Favorite road snack? “Jerky.” First thing after a show? “Pour another drink and grab another stick.” This man’s running on bourbon and beef somewhere, a Slim Jim factory just put his face on the wall.

-----

Somebody shouted “Go Cubs!” at Pope Leo while he was cruising through Vatican City which sounds weird enough already. But here’s the kicker: Leo’s a die-hard White Sox fan. Without missing a beat, the Holy Father fires back, “They lost!” Nothing like a papal burn to remind Chicago fans that even heaven’s got rivalries.
