The List for Tuesday, July 15th 2025

Welcome to The List,

The new Superman movie isn’t just saving the box office—it’s apparently saving people's mental health too. Fans say it’s helping them overcome depression and anxiety. Why? Because it’s full of hope, kindness, and James Gunn-level optimism. They’re calling it hopecore! Which sounds like a therapy genre for superheroes.

-----

Brad Pitt is 61 and somehow still looks like a Calvin Klein ad. People say it's not just his skincare line keeping him young. A Turkish plastic surgeon claims Brad might’ve had a facelift—thanks to a little scar behind his ear seen in his new movie. So maybe it’s not just eye cream and kale smoothies, huh?

-----

Darius Rucker was on stage in Atlantic City when his voice said, “Nope.” A few songs in, he apologized to the crowd and had to call it quits. Total pro move though, he gave everyone a full refund. I’ve heard concerts where the singer should’ve done that and didn’t.

-----

Lainey Wilson is bringing the bling!  She’s launching her own western-themed jewelry collection with rings, necklaces, earrings you name it. So now you can cry in your cowboy hat and your rhinestones. On-brand and bedazzled!

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Monday, July 14th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Travis Kelce is usually catching balls… not firing them at fans’ necks. But during the American Century Golf Championship, he accidentally drilled a supporter right in the throat! The fan laughed it off, and Travis gave a heartfelt apology. See? This is why he catches passes and doesn’t throw them. That aim? Yikes.

-----

Will Smith might be living in a mansion, but apparently his bank account is moving into a studio apartment. Rumor is he’s drowning in debt trying to keep up with the giant house, the giant bills, and a career that took a hit after that slap. They’re living separately, but still spending like it’s “Fresh Prince” money. Uh-oh.

-----

Jelly Roll is dropping pounds… and apparently dropping bodies now too?! WWE is throwing him into the ring against Logan Paul at Summer Slam! It all started when Jelly was singing on Smackdown, Logan interrupted, trash was talked, and chaos followed. August 2nd–3rd, Jelly brings the thunder! Or the donuts. TBD.

-----

Country king George Strait is putting his boots to work with his “Strait to the Heart” benefit concert for Texas flood victims. It’s happening July 27th in Boerne, Texas—with dinner, music, and George being an all-around gem. If you’ve got a heart and a wallet, this is where you show up, cowboy.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, July 11th 2025

Welcome to The List,

It’s been 40 years since Live Aid rocked the world—literally. Back on July 13, 1985, Wembley and JFK Stadiums tag-teamed a global concert watched by nearly 2 billion people. And now? CNN’s dropping a 4-part doc, and the UK is throwing it a full-blown birthday party. That’s right—Live Aid’s old enough to complain about back pain now!

-----

Ozzy Osbourne has officially hung up the bat wings. His last-ever concert—"Back to the Beginning"—went down July 5th in Birmingham with Black Sabbath and a parade of metal legends. It was epic, emotional, and charitable! When he sang “Mama I’m Coming Home,” even the devils in the mosh pit teared up.

-----

Jelly Roll clapped back HARD at people calling his wife a gold digger. He said, "She was a high-end escort when I met her—I was the broke one living in a van!" And honestly? The man married up! So maybe stop judging and start taking notes, huh?

-----

Parker McCollum was asked the most country thing he’s ever done… and buckle up: He said, “Rode a horse bareback. Naked. In Crocs.” I—what?! That is peak country chaos right there. And no, there are no plans for a repeat performance. His words, not mine.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
