AND she was inducted by her idol Dolly Parton. “They told me that you have been on the Grand Ole Opry 80 times? You’ve performed? Well, you should be a member!  Well, I came here to tell you, that you are now an official member of the Grand Ole Opry.”  Carly thought she was going to do a promo for Dollywood theme park where she cut her teeth as a teenage performer.

Here's something I did not know…Chase Rice told Billboard magazine that he used to work as a member of Jimmie Johnson’s NASCAR pit crew…adding it was exciting but he was miserable because all he wanted to do was write songs.

Britney Spears went before a judge in Los Angeles yesterday in an attempt to have her conservatorship ended. She said she can't get married or have more kids because of the conservatorship…She’s ready to sue her family after 13 years of not having her own money and freedom to live her life.

Matthew McConaughey still mulling over running for Governor of Texas…but what do Texans think about it…well, a new poll reveals that 41% would like to see him run! With a “favorable” rating of 42% but many are not convinced 47% say nah, he should stick to acting.  Just think if The Rock ran for president and McConaughey was governor of Texas…Can you smell what the rock is cookin? Country Music today is full of collaborations. Country artists with Pop artists and so on…but when Tyler Hubbard of FGL got the call from Tim McGraw for “Undivided” “I just rolled with it, Tim’s somebody I’ve looked up to B.K. looked up to.  We got to work with him in the past and he’s just a great dude and to get to work with him again and make more memories and more music I’m just so thankful.”

Miranda Lambert tells Texas Monthly magazine that her new songs are intended to "transport" her fans to Texas. She says she tries to do that every night on stage..she get’s to take you home to Texas…while you’re there try some of that Texas BBQ…

What is Ellen DeGeneres planning next…her show has taken a huge dip in the ratings and she’s ready to move on…well, The National Enquirer claims SHE and Portia de Rossi are developing a home improvement show. A source tells the magazine,  she’s going to be flipping the homes of people who have suffered terrible tragedies and turning them into their dream homes!

Vin Diesel was on with Jimmy Fallon and talks about the premiere of the original ‘Fast and The Furious’ movie…and everybody was there including Jimmy…”Twenty years ago today, was the release of the first Fast and Furious movie and you were all a part of it those of you who were born” Well, that’s good news…when do I get my cut! “F9” is in theaters tomorrow, and we’ll preview it on “At The Movies” tomorrow during the Drive at Five.

We all at one point or another have…an embarrassing moment….it doesn’t matter WHO you are…take Luke Combs for example…”I have left my fly down at the Grand Ole Opry I think twice.  For the whole set, that was embarrassing on more than one occasion.” Not once…but TWICE!!!

What was the first thing you ever did, without asking your parents first…your first “Adulting” decision…you were young maybe on spring break? Welcome to the club.  Miranda Lambert tells CMT that she got her first tattoo when she was on tour with George Strait. She was 22 on tour and It's the first thing she ever did without asking HER parents. Her dad didn't speak to her for a week. He eventually forgave her though."

Scarlett Johansson was on with Jimmy Fallon and talks about how excited she is for her new movie ‘Black Widow” “It really is a great movie to see in the theater, because it’s super cinematic, explosive, loud, fun.” 10 years in the making and it’s been pushed back a couple times….'Black Widow' comes to theaters and Disney+ on Friday, July 9th.

"Friends" star Matt LeBlanc is allegedly piling on the pounds. A source says “Matt loves his carbs and big portions and smashing the scales at 300 pounds…He’s hiring a trainer to work him out four or five days a week, and telling everyone close to him that in a few weeks he’s going to come back lean.

A lot of country artists are scheduling new tours and shows and playing cancelled shows because of the pandemic and Jordan Davis says getting back to it helps him feel normal again...“Playing that first show, having a full crowd, full band, feeling like it was normal again, it was crazy. I don’t think we knew how much we missed it”. I think most everyone getting back on stage and even back to work period feels the same a little bit. Jordan performed at a festival in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina..and he had those nerves creepin in until after the first couple songs.

Dylan Scott tells Billboard magazine that he can’t wait to get back out on the road.  But, this time…he may not be bringing his family.  He loves that they can experience what HE experiences…BUT whew!  It’s a lot of work bringing the family on tour.

Tom Brady tells USA Today that he has no plans to play until he's 50. He’ll  be 45 next year and still has a two year contract.  I see a lot of ibuprofen and Icy Hot in his future.  If not straight up endorsements.

Happy Father’s day to all the fathers listening today…you might remember dear ole dad sometimes had his moments Were he just did something almost unforgivable…Riley Green had one of those moments with HIS dad "Worst thing I can ever think of him doing, was he threw a Lynyrd Skynyrd tape out the window. On the way to work one day, I was just playin’ “Sweet Home Alabama” over and over again, and he just pressed eject and threw it out the window without saying anything. I don’t know if I forgive him for that yet or not, but he’s always been that type to sorta cut up with me.”

 Jon Pardi is cancelling concerts due to doctor's orders. He’s on vocal rest all shows scheduled through End of June will be rescheduled. AND, Kenny Chesney has officially announced his new ‘Here and Now’ 2022 Stadium Tour, which begins on April 23 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The closest Kenny comes to Iowa this time around is Soldier Field in Chicago June 25th

We reported yesterday that there is a rumor that Wesley Snipes may join the cast of the upcoming ‘John Wick 4” as a sword wielding bad guy. Well, that’s all it is. As it turns out, the Hollywood Reporters Borys Kit says there was some talk earlier of that happening but it didn’t work out. Production is supposed to start this summer on location in France, Germany, and Japan. “John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled to be in theaters May 27, 2022.

Looking for a special gift for that die hard Fast and The Furious fan!! The Robb Report says Jacob and Company has created a new Fast and the Furious watch. The watch has 88 parts, a crystal dial with imagery from the film as well as the Fast logo. Vin Diesel's 1970s Dodge Charger and Paul Walker's customized Toyota Supra are featured on the face of the watch. Only nine watches have been produced get it now for only $580,000 because the sequels will cost even more…and be less and less interesting….
