We start with bad news, you may have heard late yesterday that a founding member of both the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, & Nash . . . died yesterday after a "long illness."  David Crosby was with the Byrds from 1964 until 1967, when he formed Crosby Still & Nash with Stephen Stills and Graham Nash.  David Crosby is survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters. He was 81 years old.

Here's something every young country artist should know.  Shania Twain would like to be their "auntie".  "In Style" asked if she's okay with sharing all the stuff she's learned in the business. She said, quote, " I enjoy it.  I'm a nurturing person and I like to share my experiences.”  When she was just starting out, she would have liked to just sit and chat with Dolly and ask questions.

Morgan Wallen shared a new song on social media yesterday called "I Wrote the Book".  He posted the short audio clip with footage from a hunting trip last November.  He's been teasing new music lately, but still no word when he'll drop a new album.

We’ve learned more information today regarding Alec Baldwin and his charge of   involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie "Rust". The Santa Fe district attorney is also charging the movie's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.  They're facing two counts EACH of manslaughter. As for why each face two counts is because one of them includes a "firearm enhancement." Which basically means did they know the weapon could “go off” at the time of the incident.  The version with the enhancement comes with a mandatory five-year prison sentence. Otherwise, it's a much more lenient 18 months in jail and a $5,000 fine.  A preliminary hearing is about two months away.

Parker McCollum Says when he sits down to write he loves writing music with Thomas Rhett “He definitely is one of my favorite people to write with. He loves to hunt, he loves to fish, and he loves really good country songs. And so, any time we get into a room together, even from the first time we ever hung out and tried to write, we had a lot in common.  Every time we’ve written, I’ve walked away really digging whatever came out of that session.”

And finally, "The Mockingbird & the Crow", Hardy.  This is his second album.  It includes "Wait in the Truck", his duet with Lainey Wilson. the song "Red" with Morgan Wallen and a track called "Radio Song" featuring A Day to Remember singer Jeremy McKinnon. And new record from Easton Corbin called “Let’s Do Country Right” his first full-length album since 2015 is out today.

Rob Lowe was on the Kelly Clarkson Show and told Kelly about a prank he played on his sons on a camping trip 22 years ago. He Dressed up as Bigfoot and walked around the campfire in the distance, making horrible noises . . . It was so sick; it was the best .  His son John Owen who was 6 got scared but Matthew who was 8 at the time came right up and kicked him in the twig and berries.  Adding is was definitely a family highlight for sure."

Is Rascal Flatts coming back!!??  Well, Radar Online claims Joe Don Rooney is allegedly refusing to reunite with Rascal Flatts because of his divorce. A source tells the website, "The guys are begging him to do one last big tour together. But Joe Don says no way!"

Actor Julian Sands was reported missing Friday after going hiking in California's San Gabriel Mountains.  The search continues, as weather permits.  Sands' films include “Leaving Las Vegas", "Arachnophobia", " and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". He still hasn't been found.  He's 65 years old.

Alec Baldwin, the actor who fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during a rehearsal for the Western movie "Rust" in 2021, will be charged with involuntary manslaughter prosecutors announced this morning. Baldwin - known for his roles in "30 Rock" and "The Hunt for Red October" and his impression of former President Donald Trump on "Saturday Night Live" - has described the killing of Hutchins as a "tragic accident."

Wide Open Country says Dolly Parton has teamed with Duncan Hines for her own line of baking mixes. The mixes include Buttermilk Biscuit Mix, Dolly Parton's Caramel Turtle Brownie Mix, Dolly Parton's Fabulously Fudge Brownie Mix, and Dolly Parton's Sweet Cornbread & Muffin Mix. Sounds tasty!

So you say you hate Valentine's Day and you have no one to celebrate with?  You might want to plan a trip to Chicago between January 27th and February 26^th.  Because a company called Bucket Listers is opening up a Taylor Swift-themed BREAK UP BAR called Bad Blood. Admission is $22 a person, but it does include a "welcome-themed cocktail." FYI, Bad Blood is NOT an official Taylor Swift event.

Channing Tatum is planning a remake of Patrick Swayze's 1990 hit, "Ghost".  And "Vanity Fair", gave him a lie detector test where he was asked if he thinks he's a better stripper than his "Magic Mike" costar, Joe Manganiello and even Jennifer Lopez  "100%.  We're different classes of strippers.  When you look in the dictionary next to the perfect specimen of a man, probably Joe is one of the bodies that pops up.  He's kinda weirdly flawless . . ."But, as far as stripping goes.  I would put myself above him, dance-wise.  Sorry, Joe." He also said he'd go harder than Jennifer Lopez.

Willie Nelson is in a new Bic lighter commercial with Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart.  He also released a cover of the '60s classic "I'm Busted".  It's on his new album "I Don't Know a Thing About Love", which is out March 3rd.

If you’re a fan of Hulu’s ‘Only Murders In the Building’  with Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez…You might be thrilled to hear Oscar winner Meryl Streep will be joining the cast.  She is set to appear in the upcoming third season of the crime comedy and is Selena Gomez’s dream guest star…Season three will hit screens sometime this summer.

Brett Young Has Advice For Married Couples That Want To Stay Married ... “I noticed that like, you’re so exhausted at the end of the day you don’t really get in bed and download and reconnect – How are you feeling? How was your day? You’re so tired you just go to bed. So, we’ve been making it a point to ask questions about how each other is feeling, and just keeping the lines of communication open and not making the excuse that you’re tired cause children are crazy.” He says keeping those lines of communication open are important.

Kane Brown tells The New York Times newspaper that he has an unhealthy obsession with the show 'Yellowstone'. “I would watch and rewatch that show. My wife got fed up with it and told me I need to go outside and do something. So I bought full cowboy gear and went to Lowe's to buys some wood to build a tree house. She wasn't thrilled with that decision."

Ron Howard wants "Backdraft" to be the next of his movies to get the TV series treatment.  That's the 1991 firefighter movie starring Kurt Russell and William Baldwin.  He told "Entertainment Weekly", that, "We could do it efficiently and safely . . .He clarified that a series is NOT in the works, but that producer Brian Grazer talks about it from time to time.  If it were to happen, it would be Ron's third movie to become a series.

Tyler Hubbard explains why he didn't change the title of his song "5 Foot 9", after finding out his wife Hayley is 5'10".  First, it was already written, and you don't change a finished product.  Plus, he wasn't sure at the time if he would even record it, so it wouldn't have made a difference.

No doubt Maren Morris had good intentions when she apologized to the LGBTQ+ community on Friday's episode of "RuPaul's Drag Race".  But it DID sound like she was trying to represent all of country music. And now, someone in "country music" . . . namely Thompson Square . . . has taken issue with that.  Yesterday they Tweeted, "Didn't realize there was a spokesperson for all of country music these days."  I’m not sure what was she apologizing for anyway,  did she take their skittles?

The Grammy Awards are February 3rd, and Luke Combs has three nominations.  Somebody wondered how he feels about it, and he said this “I mean you know getting these Grammy nominations is awesome you know? You know they don’t come around too often. And so you know having the opportunity to just be to be thought of when that time comes is pretty unique and is always always awesome.“  The 65^th Annual Grammy Awards hosted by Trevor Noah, Sunday February 5^th at 6pm on CBS.

The NY Post says Lisa Marie Presley's three daughters, Riley, Harper and Finley, will inherit Graceland. Lisa will be buried on the property. Elvis purchased the home in 1957 for $100,000. The estate is now worth $500 million. Lisa Marie once said, “Graceland was given to me and will always be mine. And then passed to my children. It will never be sold.”
