Priscilla Block at the Iowa State Fair

I had the opportunity to talk with Priscilla Block before her appearance at the Iowa State Fair. She took her situation, as she explains and turned it around with hard work. We talked about Tik Tok and the inspiration for her first radio hit. We had fun talking about Justin Moore and I shared how I fan girled talking with him and she shared how she did the same. She has taken lemons and made lemonaide and it is paying off!

Since our conversation her duet with Justin Moore has gone #1 "You Me and Whiskey"

The List for Wednesday, August 9th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Brett Young is opening on Sam Hunt's current tour . . . and I think it's safe to say they're NOT partying like crazy.  Unless the parties feature balloons, cake, and Squishmallows. Brett and Sam are both girl dads, and you can relate if you’re a girl dad. Have THEY bonded over that?  “Yeah, it really softens you as a dude, you know, you kind of think when you're doing well in life, you think you're all that.  That's the cliché expression, but you have little girls, and they remind you that you’re not.”

-----

Jon Pardi tells People magazine that he loves the interactions he's had with his country music heroes.  Saying he got to workout with Tim McGraw…had a beer with Alan Jackson and talked to George Strait a couple times.  Just a few of his heroes that he’s been listening to since he was a kid.

As the Barbie movie makes another $30-million at the box office. Mattel is releasing a Weird Barbie Doll. It costs $50. It's description reads: ''If anyone knows anything about keeping it weird, it’s Weird Barbie, a breakout character from Barbie The Movie. It doesn’t end there…no, The New York Post says dozens of women have gotten a Barbie nose job. Plastic surgeons crafted their noses to look just like Barbie's. Barbie nose jobs cost an average of $4,000 overseas while in the U.S. they can cost as much as $30,000.  MY question is it Margot Robbie’s nose?  Or …more of a triangular nose you might find on a doll let’s say….
