The List for Wednesday September 9th 2020

Welcome to The List –

Thomas Rhett has been grilling alot during the lockdown… “Ribs have been my favorite thing to make. I follow this account called ‘Meat Church’ and they make a lot of great rubs. And if you have the time to do it, let those ribs sit on there for five to six hours and wrap ‘em in aluminum foil with some butter and brown sugar, some good ol’ Meat Church rub and you’re good to go.”

Paging Dr. Matt Stell!! While many of our Country Music stars had dreams of playing sports before the music bug bit’em.  Matt Stell tells Songwriters Universe that he came very close to being a doctor. He applied to a pre-med program through Harvard and got accepted and was headed there until six weeks before leaving, he got the opportunity he was really hoping for…a publishing deal so he stayed in Nashville..

Derek Hough is coming back to “Dancing With The Stars” but this time as a judge … He plans to be a “fair and honest” judge. “I think I’ll be a fair judge a fun judge, but more importantly, I want to try to inspire and motivate these celebrities to have the best possible time so they get better each week. So, it’s going to be fun, I’m excited” “Dancing With The Stars” returns Monday night.

Actor Sacha Baron Cohen was spotted filming something as his famous Borat character last month in Long Beach which made people wonder if there’s another Borat movie in the works…well, the answer is no, it’s not in the works….it’s already been filmed.  Borat 2 has already been filmed and screened for “a select few industry types,” according to a new report from Collider….

The List for Thursday, March 19th 2026

Welcome to The List…

Hollywood’s biggest fear is officially here. Dead actors… still booking roles. A new movie is using A.I. to bring Val Kilmer back. Yeah. From the grave… straight to the premiere. The director says Val wanted this. His family signed off too. Which is great… until your Netflix suggestions start haunting you. Somewhere an Oscar just felt uncomfortable.

-----

Tom Brady says he wears a disguise to his kids’ games. Not kidding. Hoodie. Hat. Full undercover quarterback mode. Apparently the kids don’t want attention on them because… you know… their dad is TOM BRADY. Imagine trying to sneak into a gym when you’re built like a superhero statue. Sir… we still know it’s you.

-----

Rumor is Keith Urban might be going through a midlife crisis after the split. Sources say he wants to live the single life again. Totally different person now. Which honestly just sounds like every guy who suddenly discovers energy drinks and fitted jeans. Next step is obvious. Corvette. New Balance. Bluetooth headset.

-----

Kenny Chesney just launched his own record label. Big move. Real boss energy. It’s named after his boat… because of course it is. And the first artist he signed…drumroll… Kenny Chesney. Man skipped the middleman and hired himself. HR meeting must be real smooth.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
