The List for Wednesday, September 6th 2023

Welcome to The List,

What’s Gary Busey up to lately?  Well, He rear-ended a woman in Malibu last week, then fled the scene.  So she chased him down and eventually caught up to him at a restaurant parking lot, where she scolded him and tried to get his information.  He told her he has “Progressive insurance,” but refused to give her anything else because, quote, “I’m private.” Then he took off again.  The woman got the whole thing on video…Why is he still driving?

Oprah and The Rock thought they were doing a good thing when they teamed up to ask people to donate to Maui wildfire relief.  They even kicked off the fundraiser by dropping $10 million into the pot. But a lot of people think it’s RIDICULOUS for them to ask normal folks to donate . . . especially in this economy . . . when those two could give so much more.  And yes, they’re making their voices heard. One commenter said  “You have billions.  You could donate $100 million and still be as wealthy as before donating.  YOU give the money.” We’re seeing this reaction a lot more when celebrities ask regular people to donate.

Total Pro Sports says Tom Brady will start working as a FOX analyst next year. Brady signed a 10-year deal worth $375 million with FOX. He will join Kevin Burkhardt and Erin Andrews

With all the Yellowstone drama with Kevin Costner and his wife Christine and a questionable second half of season 5…Lainey Wilson tells Country Living magazine that she is unsure about her return to ‘Yellowstone’ for season five.  Realizing that the TV business is just as crazy, if not crazier, than the music business. She’s waiting for Taylor Sheridan to give her the green light and between tour and everything they’ll figure it out.”

Does Jelly Roll get “Star Struck” well, yes! He tells Music Mayhem magazine that he picked Garth Brooks up off of the floor the first time he met him. Saying “I was just so excited, the big kid in me was like, this is Garth Brooks! So I went and gave him the biggest hug I could muster. And then I get on TikTok, and my wife’s like, ‘There’s a video of you with 4 million views picking up Garth Brooks,’ and I was like ‘Oh no!’”

PETA wants to rename a portion of Sunset Boulevard  in honor of the late Bob Barker. The new name would be “Bob Barker Boulevard.” Barker, known for his animal activism, died last month at age 99.

The List for Thursday, February 19th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Travis Kelce is out here setting expectations so high the rest of us are gonna get yelled at for bringing home gas station flowers. He’s reportedly spent $141,000 on pre-wedding gifts for Taylor Swift, including Rolex watches, designer jackets, and daily flower deliveries. Daily. Meanwhile, I forgot my anniversary once and tried to fix it with a breakfast burrito. Travis Kelce just ruined relationships for every man in America.

-----

Lainey Wilson is teasing new music, and the title might be the most Lainey Wilson thing ever. The new single is called “Can’t Sit Still,” which tracks, because she’s been everywhere except my back yard party. She says her friends describe her as “a suitcase with legs,” which honestly sounds like Delta Airlines lost her twice already. No official release date yet, but she says it’s coming “real soon,” so prepare your playlists accordingly.

-----

Bunnie XO just revealed she thought Jelly Roll was a jerk when they first met, which proves once again women love a fixer-upper. She said he had “teddy bear with teeth energy” and sad eyes, and she basically looked at him like a home improvement project from HGTV. Fast forward to now, they’re one of Country music’s biggest power couples. Moral of the story, sometimes the guy who ignores you becomes your husband.

-----

The new Mummy reboot is ditching the Tom Cruise action vibe and going straight for emotional damage. This one’s from the director of Evil Dead Rise, so instead of running from explosions, you’ll be running from your own nightmares. It’s about a girl who disappears and comes back after spending quality time inside a 3,000-year-old coffin. It hits theaters April 17th, and I’ll be watching it from the safety of daylight and denial.

You can catch The List, this afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
