The List for Wednesday, October 14th 2020

Welcome to The List –

Lee Brice tells us that he’s had alot of influences when it comes to music “I’ve always had influences. Everything from rock to pop, rap and soul and RnB…all them influences gospel, have all been influences on my life. To me it’s always just been music anyway.” Lee’s song ‘One of Them Girls’ currently sits at the number one slot on the Billboard U.S. Country Airplay Charts…

Garth Brooks tells Entertainment Tonight that he is bringing back Chris Gaines. You might remember the 1999 album ‘Garth Brooks in… The Life of Chris Gaines’. It featured Garth transforming into a fictional Australian rock star with dark hair, guyliner, a smoldering glare and a soul patch…I like to call it Garth goes emo..

We hear Henry Cavill is allegedly in talks with HBO about doing a Man of Steel series. The series would be a follow-up to the original Man of Steel movie.

Conchata Ferrell has passed away at age 77. The Two And a Half Men actress died yesterday as a result of complications following a cardiac arrest, according to Deadline. she played Charlie Sheen’s housekeeper Berta on the CBS sitcom.

Parade Magazine says the Billboard Music Awards will take place at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theater. No live audience, but it’s going to be a wild ride. Kelly Clarkson is hosting the show for the third consecutive year tonight on NBC

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
