Happy Veterans day to all the veterans who have served! So, any kind of chance we get to give back or to serve them, we’re always jumping at that opportunity. Any opportunity we get to give back, especially when it comes to the military and service men and women, we’re just excited.”

The TV King of ‘You are NOT the father’ Maury Povich And wife and journalist Connie Chung are celebrating 42 years of marriage and they have very different views on why it’s lasted so long “I say whenever arguments slash discussions you have during the day has to end when your head hits the pillow. Connie says that’s not true she holds grudges so she has to argue it out the next morning to get it off her chest.” I don’t like to go to bed mad…I gotta give this one to Maury…

Entertainment Tonight says Alex Trebek’s hometown of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada honored him yesterday by lowering flags to half staff, and the Game Show Network plans to honor him with a six-hour Jeopardy marathon. It will kick off at 9 a.m. Eastern on Saturday.

Disney my write out Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow character from the next ”Pirates of the Caribbean” film. A source tells the website, ‘We Got This Covered’ will say Sparrow died off screen, but as long as you don’t see a body he could maybe come back in the future.” Small Screen says over 250,000 people have signed a change.org petition calling for Disney to bring Johnny back as Jack Sparrow.

Jimmy Fallon jokes about Royal Caribbean looking for people to go on “test cruises” during the pandemic. “It sounds fun, all you need is a bathing suit and to sign eight thousand documents saying you won’t sue. It’s kinda creepy when you board and the captain says ‘good luck'”

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
