The List for Wednesday, May 12th 2021

Welcome to The List,

CMT says Dierks Bentley offered some piloting advice after learning that Dustin Lynch has been taking flying lessons. He said, “Don’t get drunk on a plane unless you are sitting in the back, That would be advice number one. That’s important. Don’t be hungover either. That’s not a good way to go either. Sage advise….

Trisha Yearwood talking about Garth says he pushes her to go beyond what she thinks she can do…he’s very close to being perfect…in fact he’s become a very important person in the kitchen. “Especially for spicing, for salt and pepper. I have to call on him to tell me if this tastes right. He’s always happy to do that.” Trisha knows what she’s doing in the kitchen but because of her bout with COVID her sense of taste and smell haven’t come back 100%

And for those of us waiting for the “Friends” reunion…it’s on it’s way Here’s what Courtney Cox said about the show. “It’s unscripted with lots of surprises and we all got to gather on stage 24 at Warner Brothers and that’s the first time we got to do that since the show ended. It was very emotional, and it was great.” HBO Max hasn’t yet announced a release date.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show is coming to an end. The daytime talk show has been at the center of controversy ever since former and current staffers alleged there was a toxic workplace environment on the show. In light of those allegations, WarnerMedia launched an investigation into these claims in which they spoke to former and current employees about their experiences. The show subsequently fired three top producers.  Ellen confirmed the end of her long-running talk show on today’s show, revealing how Season 19 — the show’s upcoming season — will be the last.

The List for Thursday, December 11th 2025

Welcome to The List,

The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly going out of their way to respect Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift. They haven’t monetized the romance, they don’t splash her on the big screens, and they don’t blast her music in the stadium. Travis says he appreciates it because when he’s on the field, “it’s all about the team.”  Meanwhile, judging by how he’s been playing the last few games… it seems like his mind might be somewhere else. Maybe in a cardigan.

-----

Tim McGraw stunned fans at a recent concert after stepping onstage in skin-tight suede pants with tassels down the sides. Parade Magazine says the Internet responded instantly with commentary like: “Dude raided Lainey Wilson’s closet,” “Lainey Wilson wore them better,” and my favorite — “Lainey McGraw.” I mean… if you’re gonna rock tassels, commit. Somewhere, Faith Hill is lighting a prayer candle.

-----

Jelly Roll just had the moment dreams are made of. While chatting on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Joe played him a recorded message from Craig Morgan officially inviting Jelly to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Jelly immediately broke down in tears. This is the kind of full-circle moment that hits harder than his songs. From jail cells to the Opry… man, that story writes itself.

-----

Sharon Osbourne revealed heartbreaking details about Ozzy’s final night. She said he asked her to kiss him and hold him tight, and that he was incredibly happy in his final weeks thanks to the “Back to the Beginning” concert. Say what you want about the Osbournes… but that man loved his music, loved his fans, and clearly adored Sharon until the very end. That’s a tough one.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
