Welcome to The List,

So, is it true that Kane Brown working at Lowe’s used to sing at work? “Yes I got to ah, it’s kinda were my music career started. I used to sing in the halls and the aisles. All of my co-workers used to tell me to sing louder, and I remember always being around that was my family.”

The Drinks Business website says rapper 50 Cent recently attended a wine auction and dinner in Houston. He wore a black cowboy hat and purchased a $125,000 bottle of wine. After buying the 2017 Hye Meadow Winery Boooom Red, he tweeted,  “You’re a nobody till you win a bid at the wine auction. Now I have a bottle of wine that costs more than a Rolls Royce.”  And the world rolls there eyes…

Miranda Lambert tells EW.com that the pandemic was hard for her. “The first six months of 2020, I didn’t write anything. I didn’t do anything. I painted and cooked. Like everyone else, I ate too much and tried out all the wine and found all the places we had it hidden.

A career search website called Zippia.com posted a list of each state’s most famous movie star. Some of those choices were questionable to say the least. For example, for Arkansas.  They chose:  Wes Bentley.  They could have chosen:  Mary Steenburgen or Billy Bob Thornton. Missouri.  They chose:  Evan Peters from “American Horror Story”.  They could have chosen:  John Goodman, Don Cheadle, Dick Van Dyke, Jon Hamm, Don Johnson, and for Iowa it HAD to be Ashton Kutcher

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
