The List for Wednesday July 8th 2020

Welcome to the Wednesday edition of The List…..

The first time Tim McGraw Tried To Sing “I Called Mama” he got emotional… “When I heard it I cried when it got to the hook of a song. I just sort of fell apart and then I wanted Faith to hear it, but I didn’t want to play … it was just a guitar work tape, and I didn’t want Faith to hear it. I wanted to sing it to her. So, I was trying to learn the words to it really quickly, so I could sing her just the first verse and the course. About 30 minutes I had it ready and I said, ‘I want you to hear this song.’ So, I sat down at the kitchen table I started singing it and I couldn’t get through it. Every time I tried to get to the chorus I would fall apart on it. And she would start crying because I was crying. It has a simple message to it, but it just means so much.”

In life sometimes it’s a good idea to have a ‘Plan B’ not for LOCASH they have No “Plan B” … “This is us, I think if you have a plan B you GO to your plan B when it gets to tough and we just never had one. We had each other to lean on and when times got tough, one of us would be having a better day than the other and we just picked the other one up. When you’re on the road that long, you’re going to get crazy but again perseverance and we just celebrate every little milestone”

Another celebrity has joined Carol Baskin on the app ‘Cameo” TMZ says boxing champ Floyd Mayweather has joined the app and is charging $999 for personal video messages, birthday shout-outs, boxing tips and motivational messages. He is the most expensive celebrity on the site

Jim Carrey Says Being President Would Be A “Step Down” For Kanye West … Jim wrote a new novel that includes references to Kanye West. He says Kanye is a “superhuman artist” and an “alien emissary to the human race.” Jim says Kanye shouldn’t bother with a presidential run because he represents so much more.

The List for Tuesday, March 31st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Taylor Swift has officially entered her glittery legal era again. A Las Vegas performer says Taylor’s use of “The Life Of A Showgirl” is stomping all over her own brand, “Confessions of a Showgirl.” She’s suing for trademark infringement, wants damages, and an injunction too.

Only Kid Rock could turn a poolside salute into a military investigation. The Army says two Blackhawk helicopters near his Tennessee mansion were just on a Nashville training route, but now they’re checking into why they hovered there. Kid says nobody’s getting in trouble and called it pretty neat. Nothing says casual Tuesday like cannonballs, patriotism, and two black helicopters hovering near your house…

-----

Riley Green is stacking side quests like a pro. He’s making his TV debut on Marshals in mid-April. And because sleep is for other people, he’s also reportedly opening a second Duck Blind bar in Gatlinburg. At this point Riley’s building a country music cinematic universe.

-----

Thomas Rhett says one of his favorite parts of touring is trying wild new foods on the road, which sounds adventurous and expensive. Meanwhile Dylan Scott keeps it a little more backyard chaos at home, admitting he’ll wander into the kitchen at midnight and cook a full meal like it’s noon. His wife wakes up confused; he’s making dinner round two. That’s not a snack, that’s a second shift.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

3/31/2026 Pierre

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK, PIEREE!

He is about a two year old tabby who came to the ARL as a stray. He came in with an injury to his hip, but thankfully it was the serious and has fully healed. That's when the ARL staff realized Pierre is a cuddy bug who loves to snuggle. They believe he would be good with other cats too. Since Pierre is the KIX Critter his adoption fee is half off the regular price of $50, you can make him your couch buddy for $25.00!! More info
