The List for Wednesday, January 13th 2021

Welcome to The List –

Carrie Underwood loves animals so much, but confesses that she has a minor fear of turtles. “It’s not like a petrifying fear of turtles, I feel that out of all the animals on the planet. They are the ones who have bitten me the most.”

A potential return to concerts and large-scale social gatherings is finally on the horizon. The New York Times reports that Dr. Anthony Fauci, estimates that concerts and other live venues may be able to safely reopen some time during the fall of 2021.

“Cobra Kai” Star Ralph Macchio recalls what it was like working with the late Pat Morita, who played Mr. Miyagi in “The Karate Kid.” “We would play a scene in depth as him talking about his wife and child back in the Japanese internment camps in that beautiful Miyagi drunk scene from the original film and in between takes he’d launch into a fart joke with sound effects.” “Cobra Kai” season three is streaming now on Netflix.

Chris Rock on parenting…he says he showers his children with attention so they will be independent when they grow up. “Like ridiculous attention. So, when they get attention from men it’s not a big deal to them. I want my girls to be independent, let people in your life based on integrity and character as appose to curly hair.” Chris Rock’s Total Blackout:The Tamborine Extended Cut is on Netflix now.

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

Ollie 2/3/2026

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK IS OLLIE!!

Ollie was found on someone’s property, and from the moment he arrived, he showed  what a truly loving and gentle boy he is. He has a soft, affectionate nature and absolutely adores being close to people. Sit down for even a moment, and Ollie will happily curl up in your lap, purring contentedly as he settles in for cuddles. He’s a sweet, calm companion who loves attention and finds comfort in simply being near his humans.

Ollie is about two years old and is  fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV, so he’s all prepared for a fresh start with a family of his own. With his warm personality and desire for closeness, he would make a wonderful lap cat and a loyal friend.

Ollie is ready for a safe, loving home where he can finally relax and share his gentle heart—could he be the perfect match for you? Being our KIX Critter of week Ollie's adoption fee is only $25.00!! Call ARL 641-753-9046 for more information.
