The List for Wednesday, December 18th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Cody Johnson’s big house on his ranch is being remodeled. So for Christmas his plans this year have changed a bit.  “Right now we’re remodeling everything, so now we’re living in a trailer house. So, this year, while waiting for our home to be finished, I’m going to take them on vacation and we’re going to go someplace in the snow…which may wind up being a new tradition.  In Texas, we don’t have white Christmases, and if you do, you’re generally outside repairing and wrapping pipes.”

Brobible is reporting today that Jennifer Lopez is upset over the possibility of Ben Affleck rekindling a romance with Jennifer Garner. A source says, “He never really got over the end of his first marriage to Jen. Ben would get back with Jen in a heartbeat.” Her current relationship might have an opinion on that.

Some entertainment quickies: Cheech & Chong’s “Up in Smoke” will be added to the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry.  Also joining are “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre”“Beverly Hills Cop”“Dirty Dancing”, and “Spy Kids”. Tom Cruise received the U.S. Navy’s Distinguished Public Service Award for, quote, “outstanding contributions to the Navy and the Marine Corps” through movies like “Top Gun”.

The Daily Mail says Garth Brooks’ request to dismiss the sexual assault lawsuit against him has been denied. A former makeup artist is accusing Brooks of sexual assault and battery.  Brooks says the accusations are a ‘hush money’ shakedown.

The List for Wednesday, April 1st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Meghan Markle allegedly thought she could jump the royal line. A new book claims she believed she should be queen next. Said she was smarter, better, and worked harder than Kate. That’s not confidence, that’s skipping the entire family tree.

-----

Two Blackhawk helicopters hovering over Kid Rock’s house raised eyebrows fast. Army pilots got suspended while the investigation played out. Then the Defense Secretary stepped in and shut it down. Suspensions lifted, no punishment, case closed just like that.

-----

Keith Urban might be ready to say a little more. A report claims he felt iced out of Nicole Kidman’s interview. She talked family and life but didn’t mention him once. Now there’s talk he could finally tell his side. Nothing says romance like a possible press tour response.

-----

And if you saw Jason Aldean storm off Colbert… relax. That viral story is completely made up from top to bottom. Wrong show name, bad details, zero credible sources behind it. The internet really said “let’s just create chaos today.” Moral of the story, not everything trending is actually true…I know…surprise right??
