The List for Wednesday, August 7th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Snoop Dogg isn’t just having a good time at the Olympics he’s reportedly making $500,000 a day as an Olympic correspondent for NBC.  When you add in bonuses, he’ll pocket $15 million by the end of the games.

—–

More has come out about the death of Matthew Perry.  Charges could come “any day now”. His dealers could be looking at drug distribution, negligence and manslaughter charges.

—–

Shaboozey tells People magazine that his music resonates with many because of its universal themes. “Everybody’s heard ‘Tipsy’. Going to the bar and then getting tipsy and going to the club — it’s the same thing. Music transcends like that, there’s a little bit of commonality there that people like drinking and partying.”

—–

The News International says Meghan Markle is launching her own wine line.  If you ask me, there’s been enough Whining.

The List for Monday, February 23rd 2026

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs just welcomed baby number three, and at this point he’s not running a family… he’s running a small football team. His new son is named Chet Wiley Combs, joining big brothers Tex and Beau, which also sounds like a law firm that only handles tractor-related lawsuits. Nicole is now outnumbered four to one, which means Luke finally achieved his lifelong dream… living in a non-stop WWE event with juice boxes.

-----

Matthew McConaughey says AI actors are coming for the Oscars, which means in five years the Best Actor speech will just be a laptop saying “Thank you… processing emotions.” The upside is AI doesn’t age, doesn’t argue, and doesn’t show up late. The downside… your favorite movie star might soon be a Dell Inspiron with better abs than you.

-----

Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are getting sued over their restaurant “1587 Prime” by a sneaker company called “1587 Sneakers,” which proves two things… lawyers are undefeated, and apparently numbers are now copyrighted. Somewhere right now, the number 7 is hiring security and filing paperwork just to stay out of trouble.

-----

Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez are reportedly texting late at night, which means somewhere Nicole Kidman is casually holding Keith’s phone like, “Oh look… Jennifer sent another smiley face.” Sources say matchmakers want them together, and honestly, if this happens, country and pop fans will unite faster than free beer at a wedding.

The List for Friday, February 20th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Eric Dane, best known as McSteamy on Grey’s Anatomy, has passed away at 53 after battling ALS. He first revealed his diagnosis last April, but symptoms began earlier in 2024. His family says he spent his final days surrounded by his wife, daughters, and close friends, and he used his fight to raise awareness for ALS research.

-----

William Shatner is officially going metal…because apparently retirement is for people without a spaceship. The 94 year old icon is releasing a heavy metal album featuring covers of Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest, plus original songs with 35 metal legends. He says metal is where imagination gets loud, which explains a lot about Captain Kirk. There’s nothing more metal than a man eligible for social security since Nixon.

-----

Jelly Roll is officially becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry on March 10th, and Lainey Wilson will be there to welcome him in. He first found out back in December when Craig Morgan surprised him with the invitation, and now Craig will perform at the induction too. It’s one of country music’s highest honors, and proof that redemption stories hit harder than any guitar solo.

-----

Kane Brown is the latest country star to plant his flag on Broadway in Nashville with his own entertainment venue. Kane Brown’s on Broadway will feature a full restaurant, bar, and live music, which basically guarantees fans will spend money while singing his songs badly. Every country star gets a bar eventually, it’s practically a rite of passage. At this point, Nashville Broadway is less a street and more a country music theme park.
