The List for Wednesday, August 30th 2023

Welcome to The List,

It’s probably safe to assume that Bob Barker had a lot of money.  And according to TMZ, most of it is being left to charity.  Not surprisingly, that includes a lot of animal welfare organizations. Bob’s rep also says he spent a lot of time in his last days watching TV.  Reruns of “Two and a Half Men” were among his favorites. He also checked out “The Price Is Right” every now and then, and he thought Drew Carey was doing a good job as host. On a related note:  CBS will air an hourlong special tomorrow night called “The Price Is Right: A Tribute to Bob Barker.  Drew will host.

It was just a few months ago that Granger Smith announced he was leaving country music to pursue ministry.  Well, he played his final show on Saturday, and yesterday he shared a selfie he took that night.  He’s on stage, and his fans are in the crowd behind him . . . clearly wishing him nothing but the best.

Hailey Whitters tells Billboard magazine that she was once hired to be Miranda Lambert’s body double.  The video director stopped her on the way to work and wanted to hire her to be in the “Fastest Girl In Town” video..so, she got the day off to do it.  She remembers Miranda standing with the director and saying “Well, if she’s gonna play me, I’m glad she’s cute!” and guess what Miranda, she can sing!!

The Daily Star says Michael Jackson’s chimp, Bubbles, is now living at a sanctuary in Florida. He is described as “huge and ugly” with a sweet character. Bubbles recently celebrated his 40th birthday. A source tells the newspaper, “He likes to spit water or throw sand at strangers for fun.”….charming…

The Daily Mail says Steve Harvey recently spoke about rumors his wife is having an affair and seeking a divorce. He said they are both fine and he doesn’t have time for gossip. Steve’s wife, Marjorie, also addressed the rumors on Instagram by sharing an article on dealing with lies.

The List for Thursday, February 19th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Travis Kelce is out here setting expectations so high the rest of us are gonna get yelled at for bringing home gas station flowers. He’s reportedly spent $141,000 on pre-wedding gifts for Taylor Swift, including Rolex watches, designer jackets, and daily flower deliveries. Daily. Meanwhile, I forgot my anniversary once and tried to fix it with a breakfast burrito. Travis Kelce just ruined relationships for every man in America.

-----

Lainey Wilson is teasing new music, and the title might be the most Lainey Wilson thing ever. The new single is called “Can’t Sit Still,” which tracks, because she’s been everywhere except my back yard party. She says her friends describe her as “a suitcase with legs,” which honestly sounds like Delta Airlines lost her twice already. No official release date yet, but she says it’s coming “real soon,” so prepare your playlists accordingly.

-----

Bunnie XO just revealed she thought Jelly Roll was a jerk when they first met, which proves once again women love a fixer-upper. She said he had “teddy bear with teeth energy” and sad eyes, and she basically looked at him like a home improvement project from HGTV. Fast forward to now, they’re one of Country music’s biggest power couples. Moral of the story, sometimes the guy who ignores you becomes your husband.

-----

The new Mummy reboot is ditching the Tom Cruise action vibe and going straight for emotional damage. This one’s from the director of Evil Dead Rise, so instead of running from explosions, you’ll be running from your own nightmares. It’s about a girl who disappears and comes back after spending quality time inside a 3,000-year-old coffin. It hits theaters April 17th, and I’ll be watching it from the safety of daylight and denial.

You can catch The List, this afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
