The List for Wednesday, April 5th 2023

Welcome to The List,

“Shrek 5” might finally be happening . . . with Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, and Eddie Murphy returning as Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey. The CEO of the animation company, Illumination, said that he and DreamWorks want to revive the franchise.  Eddie has previously said that he’d return in “two seconds” to voice Donkey again,  and would even like to see his own spin-off movies.

Lady A is asking fans to call them with song requests for their upcoming ‘Request Line’ Tour setlist.  They shared the phone number on Instagram.  They also said their team might even call a few lucky fans back with meet and greet passes. Click HERE

Bailey Zimmerman used to have a “real job” working long hours so how did he make the connection to the music world well, he Says it Started With Him Losing His Job … “So, it actually started…I got laid off…I strung pipe on the pipeline. I built gas pipelines you know all over America and I’ve done that since I was 18 and I’ve got laid off and I never looked back from day one I knew I was gonna make it work somehow, someway.”  Well, it looks like he made the right decision…his newest single “Rock and a Hard Place” is getting great reviews.

The Dirt says ”Top Gun: Maverick” star Miles Teller has purchased a $7.5 million Pacific Palisades, California mansion. The 2015 home has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, hardwood floors, a wine closet, a gourmet kitchen…and maybe a mockup of an F-18..not really, but it’s got a cool movie theater and a soaking tub…

We are wishing Matt Ramsey “No Bad Vibes” after his ATV accident. Last week the Old Dominion front man took to social media to share the scary news of fracturing his pelvis. Today Matt gives fans an update on his recovery and even shared that his walker is now named “Walker Hayes” thanks to bandmate Trevor.  Taking to social media saying this“Thank you for all your messages, they are helping me get stronger. “Unfortunately, I’m not strong enough to make it up on the bus yet.” While in good Spirits, Matt was visual bummed that shows had to be postponed…We will make it up to you”

And lastly, Maddie & Tae really ARE a team.  Maddie Marlow has announced that she and her husband Jonah are expecting their first child, a son, in September.  Tae [Taylor] Kerr had her baby a little over a year ago, so now they’ll be trading diaper stories while on tour.

The List for Wednesday, April 1st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Meghan Markle allegedly thought she could jump the royal line. A new book claims she believed she should be queen next. Said she was smarter, better, and worked harder than Kate. That’s not confidence, that’s skipping the entire family tree.

-----

Two Blackhawk helicopters hovering over Kid Rock’s house raised eyebrows fast. Army pilots got suspended while the investigation played out. Then the Defense Secretary stepped in and shut it down. Suspensions lifted, no punishment, case closed just like that.

-----

Keith Urban might be ready to say a little more. A report claims he felt iced out of Nicole Kidman’s interview. She talked family and life but didn’t mention him once. Now there’s talk he could finally tell his side. Nothing says romance like a possible press tour response.

-----

And if you saw Jason Aldean storm off Colbert… relax. That viral story is completely made up from top to bottom. Wrong show name, bad details, zero credible sources behind it. The internet really said “let’s just create chaos today.” Moral of the story, not everything trending is actually true…I know…surprise right??

You can catch The List, weekdays afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
