The List for Tuesday, September 21st 2021

Welcome to The List,

Lainey Wilson’s hit song “Things A Man Outta Know” is climbing the charts…and she says it’s NOT about changing a tire….”The song is about having good character, it’s about treating people the way you want to be treated.  It’s about having the courage to do the right thing which can be hard at times.  The song is just about being good to people.” Much more than turning a wrench or starting a fire…”Things a Man Outta Know” is the second single from her ‘Redneck Hollywood EP….

Scotty McCreery Says He loves his country music but don’t be surprised when he tells you what else he like to listen to..”I can listen to some R&B sometimes.  Country is my main thing and that’s what I listen to 99% of the time. But comes down to it, I got Charlie Wilson on my iPod..so, it’s all good.”

Seth MacFarlane creator of ‘Family Guy’ talks about going into space.  Would HE go aboard the Space X capsule for a trip? “I probably would not actually go into space without several drinks. Yeah, so I think being in space would be to enclosed.”  I think a Space X Family Guy episode should happen…

Last night The Voice made it’s return with the newest judge to the red chairs…Ariana Grande.  Yahoo News reports she is the show’s highest paid judge at $25 million this season…maybe a bonus if she beats Blake?

Dancing With the Stars premiered its 30th season Monday night, fans of the show noticed a subtle omission by the show’s host Tyra Banks, who when introducing Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby for his Tango with partner Cheryl Burke, described him as a “celebrity fitness instructor” and hinted at the brand, saying fans might know him if they do cycling classes at home.  Those fans took to Twitter to talk about the curious moment, with some speculating that perhaps it has to do with advertising reasons and others simply confused. Rigsby and Burke received a total of 24 out of 40 for their performance and are tied for 9th place with four other couples.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
