The List for Tuesday, September 19th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Celebrities have been auctioning themselves off to raise money for Hollywood strike relief. As of last night, the high bid to have John Lithgow paint a watercolor portrait of your dog was $4,450 . . But the auction has led to some hilarious memes, with people making up FAKE celebrity auctions. For example, The Cullins (from “Twilight) turn you into a vampire or get drunk with the cast of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” as they belittle and insult you while they stay in full character.

Brian Kelley responded to a recent Instagram poll that asked fans whether they thought Florida Georgia Line would reunite within two years. The vote appeared relatively close, with a majority responding in favor of the duo reforming.  Kelley, one half of the hit-making duo with fellow singer-songwriter Tyler Hubbard, shared the poll results on his Instagram story on Monday and replied: “Respectfully I can tell you that’s not happening.” They didn’t break up…they’re just taking a break.

Will there be a “John Wick 5”? Well, the producer of the “John Wick” movies, Basil Iwanyk, says that Keanu Reeves wanted his character to be “definitively” killed at the end of “John Wick 4”. Of course, we know that DIDN’T happen.  The producers and filmmakers told him, quote, “We’ll leave a 10% little opening.”

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios is particularly terrifying this year, thanks to the addition of . . . Taylor Swift.  Or at least, the THREAT of Taylor Swift. Somebody who was there Sunday night recorded a message that played over the p.a. system when the show was closing. The guy said, quote, “The rides are closed, mazes are closed there is no reason to stay here any longer.  You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here.  We only have 7 hours to get the park ready for tomorrow . . . “Hit the bricks, take a hike gather your belongings and your drunk friends and go or we start playing Taylor Swift at full volume.”

Chris Stapleton shared a tease of himself singing the new “Monday Night Football” theme that debuted last night.  It’s a cover of the Phil Collins classic “In The Air Tonight” and it also features Snoop Dogg, plus Cindy Blackman Santana on drums.

And lastly, Jelly Roll was recently performing in concert when he invited a young girl, with fake tattoos on her face, on stage to sing  “Save Me” with him.  The girl gave Jelly Roll a big hug before singing

The List for Thursday, February 19th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Travis Kelce is out here setting expectations so high the rest of us are gonna get yelled at for bringing home gas station flowers. He’s reportedly spent $141,000 on pre-wedding gifts for Taylor Swift, including Rolex watches, designer jackets, and daily flower deliveries. Daily. Meanwhile, I forgot my anniversary once and tried to fix it with a breakfast burrito. Travis Kelce just ruined relationships for every man in America.

Lainey Wilson is teasing new music, and the title might be the most Lainey Wilson thing ever. The new single is called “Can’t Sit Still,” which tracks, because she’s been everywhere except my back yard party. She says her friends describe her as “a suitcase with legs,” which honestly sounds like Delta Airlines lost her twice already. No official release date yet, but she says it’s coming “real soon,” so prepare your playlists accordingly.

-----

Bunnie XO just revealed she thought Jelly Roll was a jerk when they first met, which proves once again women love a fixer-upper. She said he had “teddy bear with teeth energy” and sad eyes, and she basically looked at him like a home improvement project from HGTV. Fast forward to now, they’re one of Country music’s biggest power couples. Moral of the story, sometimes the guy who ignores you becomes your husband.

-----

The new Mummy reboot is ditching the Tom Cruise action vibe and going straight for emotional damage. This one’s from the director of Evil Dead Rise, so instead of running from explosions, you’ll be running from your own nightmares. It’s about a girl who disappears and comes back after spending quality time inside a 3,000-year-old coffin. It hits theaters April 17th, and I’ll be watching it from the safety of daylight and denial.

You can catch The List, this afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
