The List for Tuesday, September 14th 2021

Welcome to The List,

Today we have a new term we can add to Country Music and Here’s Lainey Wilson to tell us what “Bell Bottom Country” is….“The best way for me to explain Bell Bottom Country would be country with a flair. I am a sucker for throw back things, whether it’s a song or it’s clothes whatever it is if feel like things that are throw back come with a good story. That’s why I love country music so much fresh but familiar.” Lainey Wilson earns her first Music Row Country Breakout Radio Chart No. 1 this week with “Things A Man Oughta Know.  It appears on Wilson’s latest album, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’

Jameson Rodgers and Luke Combs are good buddies so it wasn’t very hard to get Luke to join Jameson  On His Song, ‘Cold Beer Calling My Name’  “Me and Luke became buddies in 2016 and started writing songs and fast forward a couple years later and he asked me to go out on tour with him. Around the same time, I was in the studio cutting “Cold Beer Calling My Name” and just thought it would be cool to have a feature on my first album and so it made sense I hit him up and he said yes.” Jameson’s album “Bet You’re From a Small Town” featuring his top 10 hit with Luke Combs gets released this Friday the 17th

The Daily Mail says filming on Indiana Jones 5 is in jeopardy because 50 crew members have contracted the Norovirus.  A source tells the newspaper, ”The crew have been dropping like flies. There’s also a lot off with Covid, so it’s been a double whammy.  Luckily that doesn’t include the big stars.” They’re to busy getting injured being almost 80 trying to be 20….

We’ll call this next story…the Battle of the rich people….Front Office Sports says Jay-Z is in talks to purchase the Denver Broncos. Meanwhile, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos may also buy the team. The team is valued at $4 billion which is 2% of Jeff’s net worth. That’s the same as the average American family spending $2,500 on something. Brobible says Jeff could buy every NFL team and still have $90 billion left over

The List for Friday, February 6th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Starting off with some royal news, and surprise, it’s awkward again. Reports say things are allegedly tense between King Charles and Prince William. An insider claims there’s real anger on both sides, with William being described as controlled, strategic, and very aware that he’s the future king. Translation for the rest of us. Two strong personalities, one crown, zero compromise.

-----

The Super Bowl is fascinating because everyone watches it, but almost half of America claims they do not care who wins. A reported 47 percent of Americans have no opinion on the outcome. Among those who do care, more are pulling for the Seahawks than the Patriots. And me? I am rooting for a solid cheese dip and no commercials that make me cry.

-----

Luke Combs is sitting out the Madden Bowl concert ahead of the Super Bowl. Why? Because his wife is expecting their third child. Luke posted that family always comes first and apologized for missing the show. That is called priorities. And honestly, Dad mode beats Super Bowl mode every time.

-----

Jelly Roll is giving one of his Grammy Awards to the juvenile detention center where he once spent time. His wife Bunnie Xo says he wants to give the kids a little inspiration. That is not a publicity stunt. That is a full-circle moment. And possibly the most meaningful Grammy flex ever.

Catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
