The List for Tuesday, November 8th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Chris Evans has been named “People” magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2022.  Stephen Colbert made the announcement last night on “The Late Show”. Chris wasn’t on the show, because he’s busy filming the Netflix movie “Red One”.  But they did send a video of his co-star The Rock presenting him with the honor. “This is something that as I become old and saggy…that I can look back and say I remember then.” Adding He says, quote, “Really this will just be a point of bullying [by friends].  It’s ripe for harassment.”

Toby Keith is back.  Country Now reports He did an impromptu performance on Friday at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Lexington, Kentucky.  He was in town for the 2022 Breeder’s World Cup Championship, and he had dinner at the restaurant.  Then hung around to do his FIRST live performance since his stomach cancer diagnosis.

When Alice Cooper was asked about his appearance on The Muppet Show back in 1978, he says he kind of forgot the puppets weren’t real.  Saying Quote, “After a while you start talking to them, and they talk back! . . . They become people.” ..no they’re still Muppets….oh…the 70’s…

There are new details in the passing of Aaron Carter –  It looks like huffing may have led to Aaron Carter drowning in his bathtub.  According to TMZ, multiple cans of compressed air were found in his bathroom and bedroom, along with prescription pills. The last time anyone saw Aaron alive was 2:00 a.m. Friday, when police showed up for a welfare check.

Luke Bryan had a crazy day last Saturday that started in Tampa, Florida . . . continued in Athens, Georgia . . . and ended up with his concert back in Tampa.  He drank so much beer all day that he even let some shirtless guy jump on stage and dance around for a while.  Somebody posted that fine moment on TikTok..

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK, PIEREE!

He is about a two year old tabby who came to the ARL as a stray. He came in with an injury to his hip, but thankfully it was the serious and has fully healed. That's when the ARL staff realized Pierre is a cuddy bug who loves to snuggle. They believe he would be good with other cats too. Since Pierre is the KIX Critter his adoption fee is half off the regular price of $50, you can make him your couch buddy for $25.00!! More info

The List for Monday, March 30th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Tiger Woods is back in the headlines after flipping his Land Rover in Florida trying to pass a truck with a trailer. The vehicle ended up on its side, he crawled out like it was no big deal, and somehow nobody was hurt. He blew a 0.00 on a breathalyzer but refused a blood test and was charged with DUI and property damage. So yeah, that “no alcohol” part isn’t exactly calming anyone down.

-----

Keith Urban is dealing with some awkward rumors linking him to younger Nashville singers, and apparently his daughters are not loving the headlines. Sources say it’s a bad look no matter what, because either he comes off like a womanizer or a guy striking out. Meanwhile, the women involved are flat-out denying everything.

-----

Country legend Charlie Daniels is making a return in hologram form for America’s 250th birthday celebration. The show is set for Fort Campbell and will feature performances from Aaron Tippin and others, along with a digital version of Charlie headlining. His son says it’s a dream come true, which is sweet… but also a little “we’re living in the future now.”

-----

Michael Jordan says he still dreams about making an NBA comeback… in his 60s. He told CBS that competitive fire never really leaves, and he’d love to pick up a basketball again at that level. Which is adorable, because most of us dream about getting off the couch without making a noise.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
