The List for Tuesday, November 28th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Stop the presses!!  People magazine reports Nicolas Cage turns 60 on January 7th, and unfortunately, that means we’re going to be seeing less of him.  Because he wants to slow down. He says, I want to spend more time with my daughter.  I’m taking stock of what’s really important.  Maybe not make quite as many movies.”

Kelsea Ballerini shared the hilarious — and relatable — moment she helped her mom, Carla lower tote boxes full of stored holiday decorations from an elevated storage shelf in he garage. Ballerini stood on a ladder and passed the boxes one by one to her mom, enduring the spiders and webs she found along the way. Toward the end of the three-minute, 17-second video,

Howard Stern says he was offered the part of Bradley Cooper’s brother in “A Star Is Born”, but he turned it down because he was, quote, “nervous about maybe making a fool out of myself.” This from a guy who made a movie about himself in 1997 called “Private Parts”

People are still talking about Dolly Parton’s halftime performance at the Cowboys-Commanders game on Thanksgiving.  Unfortunately, they’re focusing on the wrong thing. They’re calling her out for wearing a Dallas Cowboys cheerleading outfit.  Fortunately, there are plenty of Dolly defenders.  Her sister Stella Parton wrote on X, “I personally thought my big sister Dolly was cute as hell. Of course, “The View” had something to say about it…meanwhile “Rockstar”has become Dolly’s biggest album ever.  It debuted at Number Three on the Billboard 200 chart, which is her highest ever on that chart.

You know those TV characters that you wish would just go away as soon as they hit the screen?  On Ranker.com, people are voting on the most HATED TV characters of all time. Making that list?  The top TWO are from “Game of Thrones” Joffrey Baratheon and Ramsey Bolton.  Others making the list include; The Governor from “The Walking Dead” and another from “Game of Thrones” Cersei Lannister…

Kane Brown tells Billboard magazine that his personal connection to Elvis Presley’s music comes from his nana. She was a huge Elvis fan, Kane will be one of several performers helping to celebrate the legacy of the late Elvis Presley as part of the new holiday special Christmas at Graceland.  It’ll air on NBC at 9pm and simulcast on Peacock.

The List for Thursday, February 19th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Travis Kelce is out here setting expectations so high the rest of us are gonna get yelled at for bringing home gas station flowers. He’s reportedly spent $141,000 on pre-wedding gifts for Taylor Swift, including Rolex watches, designer jackets, and daily flower deliveries. Daily. Meanwhile, I forgot my anniversary once and tried to fix it with a breakfast burrito. Travis Kelce just ruined relationships for every man in America.

Lainey Wilson is teasing new music, and the title might be the most Lainey Wilson thing ever. The new single is called “Can’t Sit Still,” which tracks, because she’s been everywhere except my back yard party. She says her friends describe her as “a suitcase with legs,” which honestly sounds like Delta Airlines lost her twice already. No official release date yet, but she says it’s coming “real soon,” so prepare your playlists accordingly.

-----

Bunnie XO just revealed she thought Jelly Roll was a jerk when they first met, which proves once again women love a fixer-upper. She said he had “teddy bear with teeth energy” and sad eyes, and she basically looked at him like a home improvement project from HGTV. Fast forward to now, they’re one of Country music’s biggest power couples. Moral of the story, sometimes the guy who ignores you becomes your husband.

-----

The new Mummy reboot is ditching the Tom Cruise action vibe and going straight for emotional damage. This one’s from the director of Evil Dead Rise, so instead of running from explosions, you’ll be running from your own nightmares. It’s about a girl who disappears and comes back after spending quality time inside a 3,000-year-old coffin. It hits theaters April 17th, and I’ll be watching it from the safety of daylight and denial.

You can catch The List, this afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
