The List for Tuesday, November 23rd 2021

Welcome to The List,

It’s the week of giving thanks, the three ‘F’s” come to mind; Friends, Family and Football!!  Darius Rucker knows what I’m talking about. “Thanksgiving Day is my favorite sports day of the year. It’s crazy how much football you get to watch on Thanksgiving Day, so I really like that a lot. But I’m a homebody. I don’t really go to a lot of places. I don’t go to a lot of games. I like to watch them on TV, but Thanksgiving Day is big for me.”

Jon Pardi has a lot to be thankful for this year … “I’m most thankful for the fans that showed up to all concerts this year. There was a lot of concerts and a lot of fans. We always had a good time. I know the crowd did. It was a tough year, but we made it through it and that’s something to celebrate. And also, my amazing wife Summer – thankful for her. And just being a part of country music. I’m thankful for that too, and country radio!”

OK! magazine claims Jason Momoa’s wife, Lisa Bonet, has allegedly given him a curfew to keep other women away.  they have to FaceTime at regular intervals and when she calls, he has to answer right away or have a very good reason why not.

Mashable says a Blade Runner TV series is in development. Director Ridley Scott tells the BBC, the pilot has been written and we’re working on a TV show for his movie ‘Alien’ as well…

It’s been seven months since Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth II, died at the age of 99, but royal watchers will soon have the opportunity to learn even more about his life.

And they’ll learn it straight from the people who knew him best.

A new trailer from discovery+ offers a sneak peek of “Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers,” a documentary film that boasts rare and candid recollections about the patriarch from the other royals. “Starts streaming December 16th

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
