The List for Tuesday, May 25th 2021

Welcome to The List,

With Memorial Day just around the corner Country Stars are sharing their support.  Tim McGraw is thankful for the safety he feels. “They put their life on the line. They put their families on the back burner because they have to be away while we sit in our comfortable homes and we take our kids to a great school and we drive in our cars to places, and we feel safe. They provide that.”

Brett Young shares his feelings on sacrifice  “You know, I wouldn’t get to do what I do and I wouldn’t get to enjoy the freedoms that I do if there weren’t people that had gone and made those sacrifices. And so, once I kind of realized that it’s about the freedoms we enjoy in this country, it became a really, really special holiday for me.”

If you’re a fan of ‘The Office’, there is sad news out of Hollywood, TMZ reports that Marcus York, who played Billy Merchant in the earlier seasons of the comedy series, died following an illness (details about what led to his illness and death have not been revealed.  In addition to appearing on The Office, the actor appeared in CSI: New York and Fighting Words. John Krasinski’s new movie sequel “A Quiet Place Part 2” is in theaters this weekend and he talks about why you should REALLY see this movie in a theater…“I just think that this movie is so uniquely primed for the theater, we designed it completely to be a theatrical experience. So, in this movie we tried to push the boundaries even more with what we did with sound and put YOU in the movie and make you feel like you are part of this terrifying experience.” He says it’s much bigger and scarier than the original film, we’ll take a closer look at “A Quiet Place 2” on At The Movies Thursday. “A Quiet Place Part 2” is in theaters Friday.

One worker shared that Taylor handed her $600 personally, leaving her emotional and overwhelmed. Santa wears red, apparently with lipstick.

-----

Jimmy Kimmel is allegedly planning to end his ABC late-night run in May 2027, and insiders say he wants Donald Trump as his final guest. The thinking is one last headline, one last laugh, and the ultimate mic drop. The List for Tuesday, December 30th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Kim Kardashian just answered the age-old question: what do you buy for someone who has everything? A $125,000 bike from Pee-wee’s Big Adventure. Kim gifted Kourtney the iconic red bike, which came from a private collection and went for way more than expected at auction. Kourtney called it the “coolest Christmas present.” Meanwhile the rest of us are out here comparing air fryer prices.

Thomas Rhett told People magazine that he loves jumping into whatever hobbies his kids are into. He says that’s what his dad did for him, and now it’s his turn. One week it’s something new, this week they’re riding horses. He says every kid needs one-on-one time. Which is sweet… and also explains why that man is always exhausted.

-----

If you listened to country music at all in 2025, congrats, you basically listened to Jelly Roll and Morgan Wallen. Year-end streaming and radio numbers show both guys dominating the most-played tracks of the year. Post Malone, Shaboozey, and Jordan Davis also landed big. Classic voices mixed with newer hits defined the year. And yes, Post Malone is still country’s weird cousin who keeps getting invited back.

-----

It’s official. Stranger Things just dropped the trailer for its series finale, and it’s pushing every nostalgia button known to man. Hopper gives Eleven a pep talk, Vecna’s still mad, red skies everywhere, and emotions are running high. The finale hits New Year’s Eve on Netflix and will also screen in theaters. One last trip to the Upside Down. Prepare your feelings.
