The List for Tuesday, March 15th 2022

Welcome to The List,

ALAN JACKSON’s “Last Call: One More For The Road” Tour will kick off June 24th in Biloxi, Mississippi . . . and run into October.  The tour name is a reference to his announcement last fall that he’s suffering from a degenerative nerve condition.  Dates and ticket info are at AlanJackson.com.

Sandra Bullock is taking a step back from acting in order to spend more time with her family. She says, she’s been working 24/7 and takes her job very seriously when she’s AT work. Now, she wants to be 24/7 with her babies and family.  Sandra Bullock has a new movie out this weekend “The Lost City” with Brad Pitt and Daniel Radcliff and Channing Tatum.

BROTHERS OSBORNE took to Twitter yesterday to announce some added dates for their 2022 We’re Not For Everyone Tour. Those new dates bring them through Des Moines July 8th

DOLLY PARTON has withdrawn her name from this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame consideration.  She was one of seven first-time nominees, and as of last night she was fourth in overall voting. “”Even though I am extremely flattered and grateful to be nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I don’t feel that I have earned that right.  I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I must respectfully bow out”

Rocker ROD STEWART rolled up his sleeves to help repair a local road that had been ignored for too long.  He said he could no longer drive his car on it and the other day an ambulance got a flat tire from all of the potholes. Rod posted a video of him actually doing the work…I guess this is what England has come to.  A 77-year-old Rockstar has to repair his own local street because no one else is bothering to do it.

This kind of foreign policy will be a lot more common once JOE ROGAN becomes president:  ELON MUSK has challenged Vladimir Putin to a FIGHT . . . One on one, with Ukraine’s future as the prize. Elon even sent a follow up tweet asking if people would like to see this..

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK, PIEREE!

He is about a two year old tabby who came to the ARL as a stray. He came in with an injury to his hip, but thankfully it was the serious and has fully healed. That's when the ARL staff realized Pierre is a cuddy bug who loves to snuggle. They believe he would be good with other cats too. Since Pierre is the KIX Critter his adoption fee is half off the regular price of $50, you can make him your couch buddy for $25.00!! More info

The List for Monday, March 30th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Tiger Woods is back in the headlines after flipping his Land Rover in Florida trying to pass a truck with a trailer. The vehicle ended up on its side, he crawled out like it was no big deal, and somehow nobody was hurt. He blew a 0.00 on a breathalyzer but refused a blood test and was charged with DUI and property damage. So yeah, that “no alcohol” part isn’t exactly calming anyone down.

-----

Keith Urban is dealing with some awkward rumors linking him to younger Nashville singers, and apparently his daughters are not loving the headlines. Sources say it’s a bad look no matter what, because either he comes off like a womanizer or a guy striking out. Meanwhile, the women involved are flat-out denying everything.

-----

Country legend Charlie Daniels is making a return in hologram form for America’s 250th birthday celebration. The show is set for Fort Campbell and will feature performances from Aaron Tippin and others, along with a digital version of Charlie headlining. His son says it’s a dream come true, which is sweet… but also a little “we’re living in the future now.”

-----

Michael Jordan says he still dreams about making an NBA comeback… in his 60s. He told CBS that competitive fire never really leaves, and he’d love to pick up a basketball again at that level. Which is adorable, because most of us dream about getting off the couch without making a noise.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
