The List for Tuesday June 2nd 2020

Welcome to another edition of The List, TODAY is National Bubba Day, so give Bubba a call and tell him you’re thinking of him….I’m Jonathan Knight….

Miranda Lambert’s new song ‘Bluebird’ is climbing the charts, and she talks about what the message in the song means to her “‘Bluebird’ was written from a poem. And, Luke Dick had the idea and he sent it to me in a text late one night and I was like, ‘Please save this song for me. It’s so cool and I want to be part of it.’ And, I just love what it says. I think it’s very poetic; I think it tells a story and I love the feeling that I get when I say I love the part in ‘Bluebird’ where I say, ‘I keep a light on in my soul and a bluebird in my heart’ because it actually is a reminder that every time I sing that lyric that that’s what I need to do. And, you know, I hope this song gives people the same feeling that it gives Luke and Natalie and I. Um, it just feels like a reminder to stay positive and that, you know, there’s a brighter day if you keep the right outlook.”

Gwen Stefani no doubt is a hard worker and Blake is blown away… Blake and Gwen have only recorded a few songs together. He’s amazed by how hard of a worker she is. She won’t stop until a song is perfect

If you’re a huge wrestling fan…Yesterday, WWE announced that a free version of its streaming network is launching, carrying over 15,000 wrestling shows, including “Monday Night Raw” and “Friday Night SmackDown.” along with many new programs. The regular version of the service, launched in 2014 costs $9.99 per month….but, I like free…free is good…

TMZ reports Carole Baskin is going to take over Joe Exotic’s Oklahoma zoo. She won a $1 million judgment against Joe and his mother several years ago. Now the current owner Jeff Lowe has 120 days to vacate the property. Jeff and his wife posted, on social media “Considering Carole spent approximately 2.5M chasing her 1M judgment, we congratulate her on her new acquisition of 16 acres in rural Oklahoma. The possibility of human remains being buried on this land should make her feel right at home.” I wonder what he’s talking about….

The List for Thursday, March 19th 2026

Welcome to The List…

Hollywood’s biggest fear is officially here. Dead actors… still booking roles. A new movie is using A.I. to bring Val Kilmer back. Yeah. From the grave… straight to the premiere. The director says Val wanted this. His family signed off too. Which is great… until your Netflix suggestions start haunting you. Somewhere an Oscar just felt uncomfortable.

-----

Tom Brady says he wears a disguise to his kids’ games. Not kidding. Hoodie. Hat. Full undercover quarterback mode. Apparently the kids don’t want attention on them because… you know… their dad is TOM BRADY. Imagine trying to sneak into a gym when you’re built like a superhero statue. Sir… we still know it’s you.

-----

Rumor is Keith Urban might be going through a midlife crisis after the split. Sources say he wants to live the single life again. Totally different person now. Which honestly just sounds like every guy who suddenly discovers energy drinks and fitted jeans. Next step is obvious. Corvette. New Balance. Bluetooth headset.

-----

Kenny Chesney just launched his own record label. Big move. Real boss energy. It’s named after his boat… because of course it is. And the first artist he signed…drumroll… Kenny Chesney. Man skipped the middleman and hired himself. HR meeting must be real smooth.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
