The List for Tuesday June 2nd 2020

Welcome to another edition of The List, TODAY is National Bubba Day, so give Bubba a call and tell him you’re thinking of him….I’m Jonathan Knight….

Miranda Lambert’s new song ‘Bluebird’ is climbing the charts, and she talks about what the message in the song means to her “‘Bluebird’ was written from a poem. And, Luke Dick had the idea and he sent it to me in a text late one night and I was like, ‘Please save this song for me. It’s so cool and I want to be part of it.’ And, I just love what it says. I think it’s very poetic; I think it tells a story and I love the feeling that I get when I say I love the part in ‘Bluebird’ where I say, ‘I keep a light on in my soul and a bluebird in my heart’ because it actually is a reminder that every time I sing that lyric that that’s what I need to do. And, you know, I hope this song gives people the same feeling that it gives Luke and Natalie and I. Um, it just feels like a reminder to stay positive and that, you know, there’s a brighter day if you keep the right outlook.”

Gwen Stefani no doubt is a hard worker and Blake is blown away… Blake and Gwen have only recorded a few songs together. He’s amazed by how hard of a worker she is. She won’t stop until a song is perfect

If you’re a huge wrestling fan…Yesterday, WWE announced that a free version of its streaming network is launching, carrying over 15,000 wrestling shows, including “Monday Night Raw” and “Friday Night SmackDown.” along with many new programs. The regular version of the service, launched in 2014 costs $9.99 per month….but, I like free…free is good…

TMZ reports Carole Baskin is going to take over Joe Exotic’s Oklahoma zoo. She won a $1 million judgment against Joe and his mother several years ago. Now the current owner Jeff Lowe has 120 days to vacate the property. Jeff and his wife posted, on social media “Considering Carole spent approximately 2.5M chasing her 1M judgment, we congratulate her on her new acquisition of 16 acres in rural Oklahoma. The possibility of human remains being buried on this land should make her feel right at home.” I wonder what he’s talking about….

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK, IS LAILA

Laila is an adorable 1-year-old Pit Bull mix who came in as a stray. When she arrived, she was wearing a collar with a piece of tape on it — the only clue to her name. Beyond that, her past is a mystery, but excited to help her build a bright future.

Laila is full of love and energy! She adores people and is eager to please, but like many young dogs, she’ll need a home that can give her guidance, structure, and training to help her grow into her best self. She seems interested in other dogs, though still getting to know how she does with new friends, as well as kids and cats.

Since she came in with little background information, it may take some time for her true personality to shine as she adjusts to shelter life, but with patience and consistency, Laila will make a wonderful companion.

Her $75.00 (since she is the KIX CRITTER) adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, microchip, and health testing — everything she needs to get started in her new home. Find out more ARL Marshalltown

If you’re looking for a young, enthusiastic dog to join your family and you’re ready to put in the time and love she deserves, Laila might be the perfect fit!

The List for Monday, November 3rd 2025

Welcome to The List,

Mariah Carey’s been officially “unthawed,” which means Bunnie Xo is already in full Christmas chaos mode. She said, “I’m going Christmas shopping, my husband’s not here to stop me, and the tree’s going up today.” So, Jelly Roll’s credit card is about to experience a financial frostbite of its own.

-----

Apparently, Keith Urban’s had enough of Nicole Kidman swooning over her co-stars. A source says he got “tired of hearing about her well “physical reawakening” which sounds like a Lifetime movie nobody asked for. Rumor is, he’s now living his own life... probably somewhere quiet, with zero Oscar winners in sight.

-----

Diddy’s trading bling for bleach at Fort Dix in New Jersey, working in the prison laundry room. Federal prosecutors once said he couldn’t even charge his own phone now he’s folding socks for people who can. Talk about going from “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” to “Wash, Rinse, Repeat.”

-----

Michael Jackson moonwalked his way to another posthumous victory, topping the 2025 highest-paid dead celebrity list with $105 million. Dr. Seuss came in second with $85 million proving even in the afterlife, rhymes and royalties pay. Meanwhile, Pink Floyd’s late members still cashing in. That’s one heck of a reunion tour.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
