The List for Tuesday, January 5th 2021

Welcome to The List –

Lady A star Dave Haywood says he can’t wait to perform Champagne Night in concert after the pandemic ends, “The reason we chose this song was it was so much fun when we first heard it. I could immediately see this in front of 15,000 people singin’ at a big amphitheater. I cannot wait to be back up on stage performing ‘Champagne Night’.”

Parker McCollum On What He’s Most Looking Forward To In 2021 … “What I’m most looking forward to in 2021? Hopefully, getting back on stage and people being allowed to stand next to each other.” and we’d have to agree…

Hulk Hogan tells ESPN that he and Chris Hemsworth have talked about Chris playing him in a new biopic. Hulk says Chris is in crazy shape, and taller than he originally thought.. Chris is 6’4″… The only problem Hulk Hogan sees is that Chris is not really good looking enough to play him in a movie.

Gwyneth Paltrow tells Jimmy Kimmel we should bring back the art of the crank call. “You know what? You know what we need to do? is bring back the art of the crank call Jimmy. Did you do that? Did you make crank calls? Beyond! That’s how I honed my whole acting thing. I think it was my early acting school crank calls.”

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
