Welcome to The List,
Actor Kurt Russell just picked up a pretty cool gig. He’s been named the honorary pace car driver for the 2026 Daytona 500. Kurt says he’s excited and can’t wait to get behind the wheel. The Great American Race goes down February 15th, and before engines fire up, Miranda Lambert will handle the pre-race concert. Hollywood meets horsepower.

Something strange is brewing in country music land. Eric Church, Morgan Wallen, Hardy, and Tim McGraw all posted cryptic images on Instagram yesterday, and none of them used captions. Each post looked like a tombstone tied to a mysterious “McArthur” family, complete with names and dates. Fans quickly noticed Tim’s date lines up with JFK’s death, Morgan’s post shows his real birthday, and he’s the only “character” still alive. Coincidence? Probably not. Most fans think this is a teaser for a new song or project. Country music sure loves a slow burn mystery.

Sydney Sweeney may have taken promotion a little too far. She was spotted climbing the Hollywood Sign and hanging bras on it to promote her new lingerie line. Problem is, she didn’t have permission to touch or climb the sign. Authorities could charge her with trespassing or vandalism, though the bras were eventually removed. File this under “bold marketing… possibly too bold.”

The judges from American Idol stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Carrie Underwood dropped some disappointing news. When Jimmy asked about touring in 2026, Luke Bryan already had dates, Lionel Richie teased something big, and then Carrie simply said, “No. Nah.” She laughed and added she’d just go see them instead. No explanation, no album announced.
