Welcome to The List –
Thomas Rhett says writing songs for him…is really all about honesty and is a songwriter’s key to his success … “Especially as an artist, It’s tough to be vulnerable and to write songs about your life. When you put them out you go, ‘Does songs that I write, you’re really talking to a lot of the population. When you can put that into a song form that can evoke an emotion and bring people into that, I think that is songwriting 101 – to be unabashedly yourself and do things different, not because you’re just trying to be different because that’s actually who you are, I think that doesn’t go unnoticed.”
If Justin Moore could be better at something what would that be…writer, singer, bass boat fisherman…no…he says golfer…“ it’s funny, because now that I play worse I don’t get as upset. I’m just like, ‘Ehhh, whatever.’ I think I’ve lowered my expectations now. So, I don’t play near as well now but it’s almost more fun to me now.”
David Spade guest hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. David says that Jimmy does NOT have a feud with Matt Damon. Jimmy’s sidekick, Guillermo, is really Polish. and that the coronavirus can linger for a long time. “Scientist have found live Corona Virus up to sixteen feet away from a patient. They say Corona lingers so long, it’s still making jokes about Tiger King….”
Variety magazine says Hollywood producers are planning to reboot “The Nutty Professor” again. The original 1963 movie starred Jerry Lewis before Eddie Murphy remade it in 1996. No word on who is going to play Murphy’s character, Buddy Love ..why? we don’t know…maybe boredom…maybe to many late night binge watching comedy movies….

Welcome to The List…
Hollywood’s biggest fear is officially here. Dead actors… still booking roles. A new movie is using A.I. to bring Val Kilmer back. Yeah. From the grave… straight to the premiere. The director says Val wanted this. His family signed off too. Which is great… until your Netflix suggestions start haunting you. Somewhere an Oscar just felt uncomfortable.

Tom Brady says he wears a disguise to his kids’ games. Not kidding. Hoodie. Hat. Full undercover quarterback mode. Apparently the kids don’t want attention on them because… you know… their dad is TOM BRADY. Imagine trying to sneak into a gym when you’re built like a superhero statue. Sir… we still know it’s you.

Rumor is Keith Urban might be going through a midlife crisis after the split. Sources say he wants to live the single life again. Totally different person now. Which honestly just sounds like every guy who suddenly discovers energy drinks and fitted jeans. Next step is obvious. Corvette. New Balance. Bluetooth headset.
-----
Kenny Chesney just launched his own record label. Big move. Real boss energy. It’s named after his boat… because of course it is. And the first artist he signed…drumroll… Kenny Chesney. Man skipped the middleman and hired himself. HR meeting must be real smooth.
You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
