The List for Tuesday, April 27th 2021

Welcome to The List,

Guys if you take anything away from this today…it’s this…always, I mean this with sincerity.. remember the important things in a relationship…. Gabby Barrett’s husband found this out the hard way…

Gabby -” What did I gave you the first time I visited Texas”

Cade – “You gave me a book”

Gabby – “NO! a letter!!!”

Now, granted if she asked him something easier like, “Who did I tell you took me to senior prom.”

Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus On The Impact The Band Has Had On Their Fans’ Lives… “And that’s been one of the great things about this band, I think, is we’ve always been able to find songs that really do resonate and last throughout the changing times.”

The NY Post says Anthony Hopkins was sleeping when he won an Academy Award for Best Actor on Sunday night. A source tells the newspaper,  “Anthony was sound asleep when he won, it was the middle of the night in Wales. He woke up stunned, but very excited. Life in the countryside.”

The Chicago Tribune says a pair of Kanye West sneakers were recently auctioned off for $1.8 million. West wore the black Nike shoes when he performed “Hey Mama” and “Stronger” at the 2008 Grammys. The sale set a new record for the most expensive sneakers ever sold…I wonder how much I can get for some old 80’s Nike’s…

Viewers of daytime talk show “The Talk” are reaching out with message of support after co-host Carrie Ann Inaba announced her decision to take a leave of absence. Inaba, who has been a staple on the show since 2017, announced in a video message Monday her leave of absence to focus on her well-being. She is the second co-host to leave the show in just a month, after Sharon Osbourne exited the CBS daytime show following a heated exchange with Sheryl Underwood regarding her support of British broadcaster Piers Morgan.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, February 6th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Starting off with some royal news, and surprise, it’s awkward again. Reports say things are allegedly tense between King Charles and Prince William. An insider claims there’s real anger on both sides, with William being described as controlled, strategic, and very aware that he’s the future king. Translation for the rest of us. Two strong personalities, one crown, zero compromise.

-----

The Super Bowl is fascinating because everyone watches it, but almost half of America claims they do not care who wins. A reported 47 percent of Americans have no opinion on the outcome. Among those who do care, more are pulling for the Seahawks than the Patriots. And me? I am rooting for a solid cheese dip and no commercials that make me cry.

-----

Luke Combs is sitting out the Madden Bowl concert ahead of the Super Bowl. Why? Because his wife is expecting their third child. Luke posted that family always comes first and apologized for missing the show. That is called priorities. And honestly, Dad mode beats Super Bowl mode every time.

-----

Jelly Roll is giving one of his Grammy Awards to the juvenile detention center where he once spent time. His wife Bunnie Xo says he wants to give the kids a little inspiration. That is not a publicity stunt. That is a full-circle moment. And possibly the most meaningful Grammy flex ever.

Catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
