The late Johnny Cash’s family has given their seal of approval of an upcoming album of orchestral renditions of the late country legend’s hits. Last night on The 2020 ACM Awards Keith Urban was a little shocked to announce that there was a tie for the Entertainer of the Year It’s never happened before…“We have a tie…this has got to be a first in ACM history. We have a tie for Entertainer of the Year…Thomas Rhett tied with Entertainer of the Year Carrie Underwood.”
Strap in!! Top Gun: Maverick is set to hit theaters July of next year and actor Jon Hamm has seen an early cut of the film…“I loved it…it’s everything you hope it’s going to be. Tom is obviously perfect in it, the movie has exactly the right mix of nostalgia for the first one, but then continuation of the story for the characters…you don’t expect anything else from Tom Cruise at this point”
And finally Jimmy Fallon talks about the problems Chuck E. Cheese is facing “Well, this isn’t good Chuck E. Cheese is facing some financial trouble. They’re now trying to destroy seven billion prize tickets. If you’re unaware in Chuck E. The April Minuteman Printing & Graphics Pack the Backpack winner, is Sarah Fricke – K-4 Special Behavior Intervention Teacher @ Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Newton. She was nominated by Steven Marsh, Jaimie Bru, Ashley Durant, and Jonathan Duran, and here is what they wrote to Kix 101.1.

"She loves her job. She is good at her job. And she loves the students like they are her own kids."
"She works hard to help kids with behavior issues be successful at becoming their best self and helps get them on the right track to being able to be in classes with the other kids."
"Sarah is amazing with her students. She always goes above and beyond to make sure that her students are taken care of."
"Sarah teaches in and out of school no matter where you see her. She is always buying supplies, rewards, etc. out of her own pocket to ensure the kids are getting what they need. She goes above and beyond what any teacher is required to do. There are times she brings snacks to ensure kids get a birthday at school, Buys McDonalds, etc. if a child works hard enough on their issue etc."
On the last Wednesday of the month during the school year, we award $101 to a Kix Country classroom to help out with supplies. Nominate a Kix Country teacher today at Kixweb.com.

Only Kid Rock could turn a poolside salute into a military investigation. The Army says two Blackhawk helicopters near his Tennessee mansion were just on a Nashville training route, but now they’re checking into why they hovered there. Kid says nobody’s getting in trouble and called it pretty neat. Nothing says casual Tuesday like cannonballs, patriotism, and two black helicopters hovering near your house…

Riley Green is stacking side quests like a pro. He’s making his TV debut on Marshals in mid-April. And because sleep is for other people, he’s also reportedly opening a second Duck Blind bar in Gatlinburg. At this point Riley’s building a country music cinematic universe.

Thomas Rhett says one of his favorite parts of touring is trying wild new foods on the road, which sounds adventurous and expensive. Meanwhile Dylan Scott keeps it a little more backyard chaos at home, admitting he’ll wander into the kitchen at midnight and cook a full meal like it’s noon. His wife wakes up confused; he’s making dinner round two. That’s not a snack, that’s a second shift.
