The List for Thursday, October 7th 2021

Welcome to The List,

Did you catch Blake Shelton on last night with Seth Meyers…he mentioned how Ariana really affects his ego “It’s a lot of fun to see universal superstar like Ariana Grande call me an old man.  It’s great for my ego and confidence.” Was that sarcasm in his voice? Blake goes on to say he feels confident he’s going to win AGAIN this season. ‘The Voice’ airs Monday’s and Tuesday’s on NBC.

Yesterday was Tim and Faith’s 25th wedding anniversary and Tim Reveals How He Proposed To Faith “We Were playing this big outdoor festival, and I had this case that had this big mirror in it.  I said look, lets get married and she says your asking me to marry you at a Country Music Festival in a trailor house. I went to stage and did the show, came off the stage and went back to my dressing room and Faith wasn’t there.  I looked at the mirror and in lipstick it said ‘Yes, I’m going to be your wife’ and it was the best day of MY life.” Tim says they STILL have that mirror…

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
