The List for Thursday, October 6th 2022

Welcome to The List,

The producers of “Rust”, including Alec Baldwin, have settled the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the husband of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.  Filming will resume in January, but criminal charges could still be filed against Alec Baldwin.

Trace Adkins plays a country singer on “Monarch”, but the similarities end there.  After all, it’s a TV show.  Still, somebody asked how much of Trace is in the character. Trace said “The only similarity between myself and Albie . . . we do the same thing for a living.  “I leave the set every day going, ‘Thank God I don’t have to deal with the stuff that man has to deal with.’  Because I would put somebody in a sleeper hold every day.” A man that has a lot of daughters, I can see where he’s coming from.

Who would you think is the most sought after actor in Hollywood? According to Christian Bale it’s Leonardo DiCaprio.  He gets offered roles first . . . and everyone around their age owes their careers to Leo for passing on whatever project he didn’t want.  He says He doesn’t take it personally though.  Adding he can’t do what Leo does, nor would he want the amount of attention Leo gets.

—–

Hardy had to scrap two upcoming tour dates because of the tour bus crash he was in on Sunday.  He and three other people were hurt.  He posted a video on Instagram and said he’ll be okay, but his bus driver isn’t out of the woods yet.

A Texas mom thinks “Hocus Pocus 2” can expose kids to SATAN.  Quote, “Everybody thinks it’s fake and innocent, but they could be casting any type of spell that they want to, anything could be coming through that TV screen into your home.” This mom is probably the one that watches every single Hallmark Christmas movie every single year…Hocus Pocus 2 is streaming now on Disney +

Lainey Wilson is being recognized as the Breakout Artist of the Year at the “CMT Artists of the Year” ceremony.  It airs Friday the 14th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern on CMT.  She’s the fifth artist to earn the award. Lainey follows Mickey Guyton, Ashley McBryde, Kelsea Ballerini, and Chris Stapleton in receiving this honor

The List for Tuesday, February 10th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Will there be another Austin Powers? Rumors say Mike Myers is turning down massive offers to bring the franchise back. Sources claim he does not need the money, already made tens of millions, and still cashes in every Halloween. Apparently he is focused on dad life instead of shagadelic life. So no, baby… he is not desperate.

-----

Cody Johnson just confirmed he and Luke Combs finally cut a song together. Fans have been waiting years for this bromance to hit the studio. They toured Australia and New Zealand together, and now the friendship is officially on vinyl. And that is not all. Cody also says there is a track with Brothers Osborne on the new album. That record is about to be stacked.

-----

Ella Langley just hit number one on the all-genre Hot 100 with “Choosin’ Texas.”

That puts her in elite company with legends like Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, Jeannie C. Riley, and Beyoncé. She is also reportedly the first female artist to hold number one on Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, and the Hot 100 at the same time. Released October 7th and it has been sprinting ever since. That is not just a hit. That is a takeover.

-----

And speaking of Taylor Swift, betting sites say there is a 50 percent chance her childhood friend Abigail Anderson is Maid of Honor. They also give a 25 percent chance that Vera Wang designs the dress. We are now gambling on bridal parties. This wedding might need its own sportsbook. Only in 2026, folks.

You can catch The List with Jonathan Knight, weekday afternoons at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
