A Taylor Swift cruise sets sail next October.  The official Royal Caribbean website says, quote, “Join us as we celebrate all things Taylor, make new friends, dress up in our favorite eras, trade friendship bracelets, and enjoy everything this amazing ship has to offer!” except Taylor Swift…

—–

E! News says Jimmy Kimmel will host the Academy Awards on March 10th, 2024. This will be his fourth time hosting the prestigious ceremony. I was kinda looking forward to another year with Ricky Gervais opening the show…and shaking up Hollywood again…

This opportunity could either be a dream come true or a total nightmare:  A flower box subscription service is offering to pay someone $2,000 to watch 12 Hallmark Christmas movies in 12 days. The candidate will also be given a Ghirardelli hot chocolate, two pairs of fuzzy socks, and a 12-month flower box subscription. They’ll be asked to rank each movie and if they’d watch it again. Applications are open through December 3rd. will they pay for the “shrink” afterwards?

Thirsty for News reports, Meg Ryan is considering leaving Hollywood for good because her latest film, ‘What Happens Later,’ bombed at the box office and received negative reviews. The 62-year-old had previously taken a break from acting due to criticism.

And finally, Dolly Parton’s “Rockstar” album drops tomorrow.  She says one of the songs . . . her remake of Queen’s “We Are the Champions / We Will Rock You” . . . will be on NBC’s coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics.  She also says we should NOT expect another rock album from her.

The List for Thursday, February 19th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Travis Kelce is out here setting expectations so high the rest of us are gonna get yelled at for bringing home gas station flowers. He’s reportedly spent $141,000 on pre-wedding gifts for Taylor Swift, including Rolex watches, designer jackets, and daily flower deliveries. Daily. Meanwhile, I forgot my anniversary once and tried to fix it with a breakfast burrito. Travis Kelce just ruined relationships for every man in America.

-----

Lainey Wilson is teasing new music, and the title might be the most Lainey Wilson thing ever. The new single is called “Can’t Sit Still,” which tracks, because she’s been everywhere except my back yard party. She says her friends describe her as “a suitcase with legs,” which honestly sounds like Delta Airlines lost her twice already. No official release date yet, but she says it’s coming “real soon,” so prepare your playlists accordingly.

-----

Bunnie XO just revealed she thought Jelly Roll was a jerk when they first met, which proves once again women love a fixer-upper. She said he had “teddy bear with teeth energy” and sad eyes, and she basically looked at him like a home improvement project from HGTV. Fast forward to now, they’re one of Country music’s biggest power couples. Moral of the story, sometimes the guy who ignores you becomes your husband.

-----

The new Mummy reboot is ditching the Tom Cruise action vibe and going straight for emotional damage. This one’s from the director of Evil Dead Rise, so instead of running from explosions, you’ll be running from your own nightmares. It’s about a girl who disappears and comes back after spending quality time inside a 3,000-year-old coffin. It hits theaters April 17th, and I’ll be watching it from the safety of daylight and denial.

You can catch The List, this afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
