The List for Thursday, March 11th 2021

Welcome to The List,

Luke Bryan Can’t Believe Blake Shelton Has Turned Gwen Stefani Into A Country Girl “ I laugh every time, you know because you have Gwen Stephani California girl and now she’s out in the middle of a field with Blake Shelton with a farming slash trucker hat on.  How could this girl ever have predicted that this would be her life.”  Well, you know what they say about opposites.

Florida Georgia Line Star Brian Kelley Says ‘Long Live’ Is A Celebration Song … “We wrote this song last year on the Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour, on our bus with some good buddies, and it was a good time before a show. I think we were just kind of kickin’ around ideas and somebody threw out ‘Long Live’ or ‘Long Live Nights Like These’ and we were off to the races. Crank it up and let’s celebrate this amazing life we do get to live. Let’s celebrate all the wins that we get baby.” The second single and top 10 hit is from their fifth studio album Life Rolls On.

Norman Reedus, aka Darryl from “The Walking Dead”, talks to Jimmy Fallon about the upcoming spin-off of “The Walking Dead “Yeah, Melissa and I are doing something together and I know it’s going to look different, it’s going to be a different flavor totally.  I don’t know where it’s going to be yet.” And when asked if it was going to be in the future this is all he said “Who knows, you know…I have no idea.” Cryptic…’The Walking Dead’ airs Sundays on AMC.

Tom Holland had to take some time off after Injuring Himself While Filming The New “Spider-Man” Movie … “So they’ve given me a few days off, so I’ve sitting in the house doing nothing for the last three or four days going mental. I miss the spandex, so I can’t wait to get back on set.” Spiderman No Way Home is scheduled in theaters December 17th.

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
