The List for Thursday, June 3rd 2021

Welcome to The List,

Jordan Davis talks about how the pandemic showed him what was really important. And that was family.  “For me that was my faith, family and friends. I was able to see what life was like without music, Everything was still tickin, the world was still spinning and nothing changed outside of my family life.”

Shania Twain is one of the best-selling artists of all time, but according to the star, her best work is yet to come.  Of course COVID slowed the process, but she plans to release her new album before Christmas. Shania continues her Las Vegas residency December 2nd.

Do YOU believe in ghosts?? The Queen sure does, The Daily Express reports that Queen Elizabeth believes in ghosts and never has just 13 place settings at her dinner table. Not because she is superstitious but in case guests are and she has several lucky charms in her handbag.”

Culture Club star Boy George has lent his voice to the Waze navigation app to celebrate Pride Month. “A cup of tea is great excuse to talk…so is a drive….which is why I think driving and tea go together brilliantly…speaking of which..Let’s brew..turn right.”

And we will turn right into the next story…Adidas has created a new Bart Simpson sneaker called the El Barto. The $65 white shoe has El Barto written in black on the side along with a picture of Bart.  I think people will be lining up for this one….

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
