The List for Thursday, June 2nd 2022

Welcome to The List,

—–

Kenny Loggins tells Entertainment Weekly that he recorded a new version of “Danger Zone” for “Top Gun: Maverick”. Saying he re-record ‘Danger Zone’ to make a 5.0 version that would wrap around the audience. But Tom Cruise really wanted to conjure up the original version, the original feeling. So in the long run, it turned out to be the old track coming back.  Which is just fine for me….

Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, and Shania Twain are some of the Special Award Honorees for this year’s “15th Annual ACM Honors”.  It’s going down August 24th in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium.

Speaking of Top Gun the aviator sunglasses Tom Cruise wears in the new movie were custom-made. The movie’s costume designer, Marlene Stewart, says, “Tom is a stickler. And that they had a lot of fittings to get just the right look. Color, shape and fit all had to be correct. They had fittings with each character to see what’s gonna work for them, but they wanted to establish Tom’s first.”

As reported late yesterday a verdict was reached in the Johnny Depp Defamation trial. The jury found that Amber maliciously defamed Johnny. Amber was found liable and was ordered to pay $15 million to Johnny. Amber won on a single count and was awarded $2 million. Meanwhile Change.org is STILL trying to get Amber OFF of Aquaman 2.

Are you going to CMA Fest this year?  I hope you’ve ALREADY booked a place to stay.  If not, you better hope a friend or relative has a spare bed or couch because the 37,200 hotel rooms in Nashville’s Davidson County are nearing capacity.  CMA Fest is June 9th through the 12th. While you’re there, you might want to check out the Folds of Honor Celebrity Softball game. Jimmie Allen, Lee Brice, Mitchell Tenpenny, Chris Lane, Jameson Rodgers, Riley Green, Alexandra Kay, Jelly Roll, Hannah Cook, Shawn Johnson, and Tyler Braden are some of the stars that’ll be out there dodging softballs to the face and stealing bases. It’s set for June 6th at Nashville’s First Horizon Park.  Proceeds will benefit family members of America’s fallen and injured service members.

Did you know Alison Krauss is on the latest Def Leppard album?  She does guest vocals on two tracks, “This Guitar” and “Lifeless”.  The album is called “Diamond Star Halos” and it came out last week.

The List for Monday, February 9th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Lainey Wilson says she would absolutely jump back into the saddle for upcoming Yellowstone spin-offs. She told creator Taylor Sheridan she would gladly reprise her role. Country star. Acting chops. Cowboy hats. Honestly, at this point Lainey just lives in fringe and Montana. And we are not mad about it.

-----

Adam Sandler says that viral video about his daughter getting humiliated in a Chanel store is completely fake. The AI clip shows him storming in and dropping $312,000 on handbags. He says the whole story is 100 percent insane and made-up. However… The midnight In-N-Out burger run rumor? He says that one is true. Priorities.

-----

Rumor alert. Reports claim Taylor Swift has allegedly decided not to invite Blake Lively or Ryan Reynolds to her upcoming wedding. Sources say she wants a drama-free day and still feels burned from being pulled into Blake’s legal mess. Allegedly. Emphasis on allegedly. Nothing says romance like a very selective guest list.

-----

Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes have reportedly split. Again. That makes three times. At this point it is less “will they or won’t they” and more “we’ll circle back.” Call me when it sticks.

The List for Friday, February 6th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Starting off with some royal news, and surprise, it’s awkward again. Reports say things are allegedly tense between King Charles and Prince William. An insider claims there’s real anger on both sides, with William being described as controlled, strategic, and very aware that he’s the future king. Translation for the rest of us. Two strong personalities, one crown, zero compromise.

-----

The Super Bowl is fascinating because everyone watches it, but almost half of America claims they do not care who wins. A reported 47 percent of Americans have no opinion on the outcome. Among those who do care, more are pulling for the Seahawks than the Patriots. And me? I am rooting for a solid cheese dip and no commercials that make me cry.

-----

Luke Combs is sitting out the Madden Bowl concert ahead of the Super Bowl. Why? Because his wife is expecting their third child. Luke posted that family always comes first and apologized for missing the show. That is called priorities. And honestly, Dad mode beats Super Bowl mode every time.

-----

Jelly Roll is giving one of his Grammy Awards to the juvenile detention center where he once spent time. His wife Bunnie Xo says he wants to give the kids a little inspiration. That is not a publicity stunt. That is a full-circle moment. And possibly the most meaningful Grammy flex ever.
