The List for Thursday, July 14th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Justin Moore talks about how he lived his hit song ‘With A Woman You Love’ … “I remember when my wife and I first started datin’ 20 years ago, I would claim to my buddies that I would never do this, I’d never do that. I’d never hold her purse at the mall, I’d never have a little dog sleepin’ in bed with me – all those types of things. And clearly I was wrong, because I’ve done all of the above and much more.” Adding…When you’re with the person you wanna spend the rest of your life with, you’ll go above and beyond, even if it’s stuff that your buddies might make fun of you for down the road. It’s all worth it.”

The Wrap says “Top Gun: Maverick” has passed ”Titanic” as Paramount Pictures’ top grossing domestic release. ‘Maverick’ has earned $601 million. ‘Titanic’ earned $600 million. ‘Maverick’ has raked in $1.19 billion worldwide since being released. We asked Mickey Rourke for comment…apparently he’s looking over his next movie script for ‘Double Team 2’ because he never got back to us.

Place THIS story under the heading ‘You know you’ve made it when…’Country Now says the Wisconsin State Lottery has given Luke Combs his own scratch-off lottery ticket. The new scratch game is called Living Lucky with Luke Combs and gives players a chance to win a top prize of $10,000….

Tim McGraw remembers his first car.  Saying he used gold thumbtacks to keep the head liner up, he got his first ticket in it…He really loved it, it was a gift from his grandparents who didn’t have much but they had that car and it meant a lot to them that gave it to him, and it meant a lot for him to have it.  I wonder if he eventually sold it for 7500 OBO…

The NY Post says a Virginia judge has denied Amber Heard’s request for a new trial. Johnny Depp won their defamation trial and a $10 million-dollar judgment against her. Amber wanted a new trial because she believes one of the jurors was tainted and should not have been seated for the case.

The Walker Hayes TikTok magic continues.  A mall worker crashed a video he was filming for his new single “Y’All Life” . . . so Walker posted the clip with the random dude still in it . . . and it’s going viral… “CMT Fest” will be airing August 3rd on ABC.  Dierks Bentley and Elle King are the hosts and it’ll feature 30 collaborations and performances that were filmed during the 49th CMA Fest in Nashville…. Kelsea Ballerini announced the release date of her fifth album.  It’s called “Subject to Change”, and it’ll be out September 23rd.

The List for Thursday, March 26th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Hookup shows come and go. Paychecks apparently stay forever. Taylor Frankie Paul will still get her full Bachelorette salary. TMZ says the payday lands in the low to mid six figures. The season got shelved after that viral domestic violence video resurfaced. Reality TV motto. Love fades. Direct deposit survives.

-----

Some guys jog. Some guys apparently brawl with neighbors. “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson reportedly got into a physical altercation. Sources say intense behavior is kind of his brand at this point. He doesn’t think he crossed a line. Neither does the authorities,

-----

Country star meets horsepower. This feels aggressively on brand. Darius Rucker is now a NASCAR Cup Series team owner. He invested in Legacy Motor Club which competes at the top level. From singing about wagons to literally owning fast cars. That is what we call career acceleration.

-----

If you like free music. Nashville just planned your summer. CMA Fest announced around 150 artists for daytime stages. Names include Ernest, Melissa Etheridge, Tucker Wetmore, more. The free shows run June fourth through seventh downtown. Wallet stays full. Voice will absolutely not.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
